Accessing Web Service from VBA (Type MisMatch)

I am attempting to call a web service from Access 2003 (using the built-in
web services reference tool). The web service should return an array of
integers.

Example web method (C#)

[WebMethod]
public int[] GetIntArray()
{
int[] a = new int[5];
for (int i = 0; i < 5; i++)
a[i] = i * 10;
return a;
}

However at the client side (Access VBA) I am getting the Type Mismatch
error.
This is the function (auto-generated by the web services reference tool ) in
VBA that gives the error.

Public Function wsm_GetIntArray () As Variant
'Error Trap
On Error GoTo wsm_GetIntArray Trap

wsm_GetIntArray = sc_GuidelinesSe rvice.GetIntArr ay()

Exit Function
wsm_GetIntArray Trap:
GuidelinesServi ceErrorHandler "wsm_GetIntArra y"
End Function

When i call my web method from a c# client, it works Ok.

Any suggestion how how to fix this is welcome?

Do I need to obtain a new script to utilize the Indexing Services of...

The call shown below returns a string array with two...

Hello, I have a method on a com+ object that is returning an array of objects. I know the array is popluated as calls to check the ubound and lbound show valid values. However, any calls to get the value of a cell in the array results in a type mismatch error.

Hi guys, this has been bugging me for a while and I'd appreciate any help anyone could offer. Basically I am running a boating simulation and I have all of the "harder" parts done but one error is holding me back from compiling my code. I won't go into detail about the simulation but basically I have a Boat super class and extended from this are the sub classes; cruiser, speedboat, and jetski. My problem is when it comes to accessing...

Hi, when accessing a secured 3rd party webservice i'm getting a 401 HTTP Statuscode (unauthorized). When entering the url in a browser and entering the username and password manually, the wsdl is returned. So the username and password should be ok. I'm using this code: Merchant myMerch = new Merchant(); myMerch.merchantIdentifier=merchantId;

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
