datagrid.itemco mmand event not firing for image button

1 New Member
Please let me know what all options can I try to make the itemcommand get called when a image button gets clicked?
I tried some of the options like checking the autopost back before binding the datagrid. Then I tried putting a blank column in the datagrid too...but nothing seems working....

Let me know ASAP......

Thanks,
Amaresh

Check the place where you are binding the Grid. If it is in PageLoad then the DAtaGrid.DataBi nd function call should be line

If (!Postback)
{
MyDataGrid.Data Source=GetAllRe cords();
MyDataGrid.DAta bind

}

Hi, I have a page that has a datagrid bound to a dataset. Items are added to the dataset at particular times (ie the click event of an item in a tree control) then bound to the grid. The grid has an image button in a Template column that is used to remove an item (dataset row). I can't re-bind the grid on the postback or I lose the event handler for the button. I also have a column that contains a textbox that I need to handle the...

Good day, I have a specific case of the DataGrid in my solution which is causing the ItemCommand Event Not Firing. So I'm creating a "Skinnable" set of controls. I seperate the actual ASCX file and .CS file. When I initialize my .CS file, in that code there is a method that goes: Page.LoadControl(FILENAME) Which associates a .ascx file with my .CS file, allowing me to plug in any

Probably this quesion was already raised, but I couldn't find any answer to it, even on Google. My question is: I have a plain datagrid on a page, and I'm adding a button column to it. When this button column is in a form of a Link button, ItemCommand event is processed, and code stops nicely on a breakpoint set in the DataGrid1_ItemCommand procedure. When I make one change - type of the button is changed to Push button,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
