Hi everyone,
I have created a setup program for my Windows App in
VB.net. When try to install it by double clicking on
setup.exe, the wizard comes up and on last screen it gives
me message "Insatallation Incomplete"
The installer was interrupted before appname was
installed.
The same setup.exe will run to complete and install

I'm trying to install the dotnet framework 1.1 on a Windows 2000 Pro, SP 4
box. I've downloaded dotnetfx.exe and am installing from c:\temp.
This is the error message that I get: Error 1606. Could not access network
location %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Start Menu\Programs\Administrative Tools. The
folder exists and I've given full permission to it to everyone, so I don't
think this is some kind of security issue.

Hello dotnet friends:
I want to know if there is a way to install a dotnet application with
the dotnet framework and the mdac packs that verify if any of that
last 2 are install in the system. I mean: if the SO have the dotnet
framework but not the mdac_typ... the install step go to the mdac_typ
phase... and then install the application.

My system is W2K Pro, SP-4 + Rollback. The system crashed
and I restored from my external backup. But 'dotnet' did
not run due to this error message 'not installed'. So I used
Add/Remove Programs and removed it. I then downloaded 'dotnet'

Hello,
I created a small dotnet exe on a workstation with
VS.Net. When I tried loading this app on another
workstation (win2k), an error message said I was missing
some dll. If I load the dotnet framework 1.1 would that
fix my problem? Do I need to load the CLR first on a
workstation and then load the app. Is this correct?
Suggestions appreciated.

I've tried to install the .Net SDK 1.1 to write C#
programs. I downloaded and installed both the framework
and the sdk per Microsoft's instructions. However, the
installation does not seem to be complete. I cannot find
csc.exe. Perhaps I'm not downloading the proper files.
What am I doing wrong?

Howdy, I have a fresh install of vista ultimate sp1 which I am trying
to install visual studio 2008 to.
When I run the installer it basically stalls at "Setup is loading
installation components", doing nothing (a copy of the
dd_install_vs_procore_90.txt log is available here: http://pastebin.com/mf8b203
.. The dd_error_vs_procore_90.txt is empty. ). I was not able to google
much for this but one similar problem with vs2005 suggested...

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
