Prevent Session Time out

Hello people

My problem is:
My session is 20 min and the cache can be very heavy for each user.
The user can be doing many things and after 20 min not using the
application, the cache gets empty, that means all the work done by this
user is lost.

I wanted to prevent the Session Timeout while the browser is open, then
when the browser is closed, and the session will expire itself in 20
min time emptying the cache of this user.

I was thinking of creating a Javascript countdown that reloads a
picture every 19minutes so the server gets a request and the Session
restarts.

Does anyone knows another way to get this??

Thanks in advanced

Nacho

I know that its impossible to completely prevent somebody from ripping a site (or cracking software) if that person has the skills and the time/patience, but there are tricks that can be employed in software which slow crackers down, from things like self-decrypting code to anti-debug tricks, and most people have a breaking point - if you can slow them down and waste enough of their time they usually move on to easier targets (and as there...

What is an effect way to prevent users from viewing a webpage directly by typing in its URL? For example: If a default page is set up as a login screen with user name and password. The user types in correct information and clicks the submit button. The next webpage comes up, displaying its URL. So what's to stop the user bypassing the login screen next time around? I would like to show an access

This may be a very simple question but I'm stumped none the less. I have a form where a user provides comments. There's a Grid below this form which displays all comments in the table so far. On the Page_Load sub, this grid is loaded. When they submit the form, a SaveComments Sub will insert the record into a table and then disable the button and textbox (greyed out) and display a message in a asp:label saying "thank you...". The last...

I've searched google intensely on this topic and it seems noone really knows how to approch this. The goal I don't want clients to give out their usernames and passwords to friends, since the site relies on subscrption fees. Sessions ID's are matched between the browser and the server. So a users can login with same username and password and those sessions are tracked individually. Some suggest create table fields with the session ID...

Hi, the user gets a form to fill. All the filled values are put into session variables. I want to prevent that he could click to the previous arrow of the browser and then comes back to the form. Is that possible with asp.net? Or, is it possible to clear the session when leaving the form page by clicking the previous arrow?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
