What is an effect way to prevent users from viewing a webpage directly by
typing in its URL?
For example: If a default page is set up as a login screen with user name
and password.
The user types in correct information and clicks the submit button.

This may be a very simple question but I'm stumped none the less.
I have a form where a user provides comments. There's a Grid below this
form which displays all comments in the table so far. On the Page_Load sub,
this grid is loaded. When they submit the form, a SaveComments Sub will
insert the record into a table and then disable the button and textbox
(greyed out) and display a message in a asp:label saying "thank you...".

I've searched google intensely on this topic and it seems noone really knows how to approch this.
The goal I don't want clients to give out their usernames and passwords to friends, since the site
relies on subscrption fees.
Sessions ID's are matched between the browser and the server. So a users can login with same
username and password and those sessions are tracked individually.

Hi Gang,
I would like to have my application retain sessions even after the user
closes their browser window, up unil the time the session is supposed
to time out. Right now if the user closes IE their session is
re-created. Is there any way around this?

Everybody knows how to open (or clone) the same page that you are
viewing in a new browser window by CTRL+N or via File->New Window. the
question is how to PREVENT to open the SAME WEB APPLICATION (with the
same session) in two or more browser windows.

I need that one little thing (surrounded by ***!!!!! in the quote above) changed so that it checks to see if the time is between 0 and 500 seconds ago, not just 500.

the user gets a form to fill. All the filled values are put into session
variables.
I want to prevent that he could click to the previous arrow of the browser
and then comes back to the form. Is that possible with asp.net?
Or, is it possible to clear the session when leaving the form page by

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
