very basic information on web developing

I am very new to web developing. What is the best way to
create a web project. I will be using asp with vs.net.
What do most people do for computers more specifically.
Do I remote debug to a server. Setup a computer that is a
server and do my developing on the same machine? Have two
servers and when the project is done transfer it to the
production server?

I recommend that you read a series of debugging articles
that start at:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp
MSDN Library
.NET Development
Visual Studio .NET
Articles and Columns
Debugging Articles
Debugging in Visual Basic .NET
...

That will introduce you, in a tutorial way, to the use of
Visual Studio in the development of web projects. Before
you know it, you will create and debug "Life Insurance
Calculator" and other web projects.

Also look at:

www.asp.net

Then there are ASP tutorials like:

http://www.w3schools.com/asp/default.asp

Hi, I need to design data interfaces for accessing files of very large sizes efficiently. The data will be accessed in chunks of fixed size ... My data interface should be able to do a random seek in the file, as well as sequential access block by block.... One aspect of the usage of this interface is that there is quite good chance of accessing same blocks again and again by the application..

I am developing an application where I need to secure a workstation for periods of time. I can use BlockInput to stop users from task switching or messing with the keyboard, but I would like to disable Ctrl-Alt-Delete. It seems there seems to be only one real way I know about: Write a replacement Gina Driver to eat the keyboard events I dont want. Does anyone have a good template for this in Visual Basic .Net?

I don't care what .net language this come in but I really need to determine if a disk is dynamic or basic. I have posted something in the WMI group but no one knows how to do it. Does anyone have any idea how I can determine this? At this point I don't care if it is a third plugin freeware app I use that writes it to a text file that I could read out. Thanks!

Why do we have to contact MS for a problem that has been with this compiler from at least the beta of VS 20005. I am so sick and tired of the 30 - 40 clicks it takes to dismiss VS when there is a problem. Can they not just post the fix. I see no reason to contact MS since I have most likely sent about 1500 dumps to them and I would think this would get their attention.

It's been over 10 years that I don't look at Access. I've been working in asp.net for the last 5 developing intranet sites. Just got a project where we are trying to avoid building an application by virtue of reusing something already in place at another site developed in Access 2003. I've never seen the application in production, apparently access2003 linked to SQL server 2005 db.

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
