Error Http 413: entity too large calling web service on Win2003 Sr

We are calling a web service running in IIS 6.0 (Windows 2003 Server)

When we call a web service method to send a large xml document (2Mb) obtain
an http error 413 (entity too large)

We have increase the web service reception size limit to 10Mb and still fails.

Is there any limitation in the size of an xml document? Any idea?

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried to increase MaxRequestEntit yAllowed property value in IIS
config?

We increase MaxRequestEntit yAllowed property value in IIS config but it
doesn't work. We're using https connections, so we found this information in
Technet
(http://technet2.microsoft.com/Window...7a6671033.mspx)
and we have increased the size of UploadReadAhead Size Metabase Property to
64Kb and it's all all right.

Thanks for your help.

I'm using Microsoft's ASPFileUpload routines and all works fine as long as my files are smaller than about 200K. For anything larger than about 210K, I get the following error: Error Type: Request object, ASP 0104 (0x80004005) Operation not Allowed On the .Upload method. Has anyone else experienced this problem with ASPFileUpload?

Hi, We have an application outside the firewall who talks to a webservice inside the firewall. 9 times of 10 this works, but sometimes we got the error "The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive." We have tested some of the solutions that we have found in this discussion group but the problem still exist. We use .NET Framework 1.1. The application server use Win2003. My vb.net 2003 application running as service fails on Windows 2003 SP1 with error "The exception generated was c0000005 at address 7C8224B2 (ntdll!ExpInterlockedPopEntrySListFault)". It just crashes with no other expanations. It works fine on Win2003 and WinXP SP2. What is changes in Win2003 and what does this error mean? My service uses dotnet 1.1. I compiled it with dotnet sp1 as well, it did not make any difference.

I have a Asp.net web application and a Asp.net Web service application. The Web application is using HtmlInputFile to get a 50M size of file selected by end user, read the data of this file and pass the data to the web service. I already modified both web.config files and changed maxRequestLength to 60000(kb). When I debug the upload process, it seems the Web application can get the 50M file and read the data without problem, but when the...

Hello guys! I'm using Visual Basic .Net to build an E-mail management system. So, I have a WebService hosted in a Windows 2000 Server (IIS 5.0) that I use from my client application to upload files (attachments of the e-mails). The server is in a Data Center located outside our company, and the solution works just fine. I have some customers accessing this server too, with the same application, and it works fine. But there is one customer...

Yes, I wasted the past two days trying to fix this. Yes, this is on a Win2003 Server. Yes, this machine is a domain controller. Yes, I seen the dozens of KB articles like this one: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q315158 But the problem is that 99% of these are for ASP .NET 1.x and this is .NET 2.x which I just installed to try and get .net working for the first time ever. I've see all the HACKS to get .net 1.x...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
