Managed C++ MaskedEdit KeyDown SuppressKeyPres s

If I set KeyEventArgs.Su ppressKeyPress to true in a MaskedEdit box and have a
mask assigned, it will still allow backspace to erase data.

I attempted the same thing in C# and it allowed it as well. If I do not
have a mask assigned, it works as I'd expect.

Is this a known issue? Either way, is there a work around for this or
another method to disallow entry under certain cases?

Thanks,
Carmon

I have a Datagrid that is inside a panel. I want to use the keyDown event to reconize the arrow keys. But I have no luck at all. The problem is that the keydown event won't fire at all, unless I click on a row (withs will turn blue then) and then click on it again . Now if I press any key the event will fire (except for the arrow keys). I also tried to override the IsInputKey => no luck. I also tried to override the ProcessCmdKey => With...

I want to restrict users to enter only numbers in a textbox control. I have written a code in keypress to prevent user to enter other than numeric values. I have also read many places that I can use MaskedEdit Control. My questions is why can't I see this control in my Toolbox just like I can see other controls like textbox, radio button etc. Thanks.

I have a control that handles the KeyDown event but it does not seem to execute when a combination of keys is pressed - like CTRL+Z. If I press CTRL, it executes. If I press Z, it executes. But the handler does not see the combination. Now this control is contained within another control which is contained within another. The top most control does see the CTRL+Z. I can easily pass down the key info, but why does the nested control see...

I am using the AJAX ToolKit 1.0.20229.20821 with VS 2005. I have created a data-entry screen that will allow people to enter time and save it to the database. The MaskedEdit AJAX Extender works great, however, to keep the data-entry people flowing, I would rather not have them take their hands off the keyboard to enter an "A" or a "P" to change the time to AM or PM respetively. I would like to tweak the source code to allow them to either...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
