Event ID 2020 with C# Application?

Hy,

I've developed a C# Application to download Files from an
internet- source in given periods.
It also stores these files in the same Period on a local-
network drive.
The period is normally about 500ms.

I've installed the application on a Windows 2000 Server
(Servicepack 3, .Net Framework 1.1). It works fine, but:

After about 3 days working time the server crashes. Only
a reset can restart it. In the system logfiles I found
several entries of kind "error 2020: The server was
unable to allocate from the system paged
pool because the pool was empty"

Several newsgroups tell me that this ist the result of a
memory leak! Can this be? A memory leak in a .Net
application?
Can it be that the problem is somewhere else and the
server has problems with storing files in a short period
over many days?

(Another thing: i also read that norton av can cause
problems like this: the is no norton software on the
system!)

Thanks in advance,

Rupert

I have posted this to the Citrix Developers' forum and have not heard anything yet. So I'd like to see if any other Java developers have experience this problem with their Java application in a Citrix Published application environment. We are running Citrix XP enterprise feature release 2 on windows 2000 server sp4. We developed a Java application which can catch the "PrintScreen" key event released event correctly in our PC but could...

Hello all, we are running a delphi application with DB2 V8.01 which is causing deadlocks when rows are being inserted into a table. Attaching the Event Monitor Log (DEADLOCKS WITH DETAILS) here. From the log it looks like the problem happens when 2 threads insert 1 record each in the same table and then try to aquire a NS (Next Key Share) lock on the record inserterd by the other thread. Thanks Rohit

Writing to a registered source in the Application event log I have an asp.net framework 2.0 app that I created on a winxp machine and now I am deploying it to IIS6 on a win server2003 machine. This application has to write to the application event log. After deployment of the application I have verified that my source “MySource” exists in the Application event log. I then wrote some text to the event source in a forms app and...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
