Cannot use Server Explorer to produce Create/Change Scripts

I am using Visual Studio.NET 2003 Enterprise Architect Edition
(according to my IT guy... how do I actually check what version of it I
am using?) and SQL Server Developer Edition (8.00.194 for you who
care).

In the documentation it says:
To generate create scripts
1. In Server Explorer, right-click the database object for which you
want to generate create scripts. This might be the entire database, a
specific table, stored procedure, or user-defined function.

2. Choose Generate Create Script on the shortcut menu.

That item, Generate Create Script does not exist in my menu. It's not
greyed out either, it just doesn't exist.

Moreover, it also says:

Note You must be using SQL Server 7.0 or SQL Server 2000 to generate
create scripts. To use this feature you must also install the client
tools for SQL Server on the same machine as Visual Studio .NET.

I read somewhere else that this might not be the case - in fact you
would need Enterprise Architect to be able to do this - is this so?

I find it difficult to find information about this topic. Searched KB
on microsoft.com, couldn't find anything that related to:

1. Having the correct versions of the software
2. Not being able to perform any action related to Database Projects

This is very frustrating - surely someone else than me must have had
this problem - or am I just exceptionally stupid?

My questions in point-form:

1. How do I check what version of Visual Studio.NET I have? The about
box only tells me the version number, I want to know if this really is
Enterprise Architect.

2. How do I get this to work? What I want to do is to create a Create
Script for an existing database. Everything else is working normally,
this is an existing project and database, complete with working web etc
on my machine - nothing, I repeat nothing, is out of the ordinary
except for the fact that things that should be "click this button" are
far from it - the button is not there... So, if I have the correct
versions of the software involved etc - what could my problem be?

Cheers,
Tommie

I just installed SQL Server 2005 on my PC (the developer's edition) yesterday. I have some scripts written by one of my coworkers to create some tables and stored procedures in a database that I've already created on my computer. Whenever I go to open the script file (whose icon shows that it's a SQL Server Query File and I've got the file type set to open with SQLWB - SQL Server Management Studio), the file opens in Notepad instead of...

Hello, We have an issue that I do not know how to resolve. Our website has several hundred reports. There are a handful of them that are causing issues when there is no interaction for a couple of minutes between client and web server. We are using .NET 2005, Framework 2.0 with an Oracle 9i database. Our application has several hundred reports, but only several reports have this issue; the reports with the issues do not write anything...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
