In the hereunder written message I talk about point in time restore.
It is now based upon the fact that there are no hardware problems or what so
ever.
I just would like to roll back to a situation of some time (minutes, hours
or what ever) ago.
Used to the ingres database a point in time restore can take place UP to
any, any, any time since the last FULL backup. (any time up to now !!!)
I can't understand why a point in time restore...

Hi,
I want to restore my databases from the old SQL Server installation
into a new installation of SQL Server. My new installation of SQL
Server has different data path from the old installation. In addition,
the data owners of some databases in the old SQL Server installation
are not dbo. I have backups for all the databases in the old
installation SQL Server.
Can anyone tell me how to restore my databases from the old SQL Server

I'm a newbie so please be gentle.
In attempting to run a restore I get the following error message:
"Exclusive access could not be obtained because the database is in
use." However, it doesn't appear that there are any connections to the
database. At the suggestion of another thread, I ran sp_who2 and there
are no connections to the database in question. I've been running the
same restore for months and all has been well, until...

hi gurus, now I have to backup and restore a 8 T size db2 database. from two
s85 to two 670. the partitions, tablespaces of the db should be redesigned
then I plan to use redirected restore.
but my concern is, such big size db, I'm afraid something unexpected will
destory all the effort. Who have related experience? Can you give some
advice? Thanks in advance:)

it looks like this will save many versions of a relationship window,
but based on the fact that the same tables are displayed in the
relationship window
and it will restore versions of what was saved as long as all the
tables that were saved are currently shown in the relationship window
so if I have 2 tables, employee and customer
and if I show just the employee table in the relationship window, I can
save it as 'employee'

You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
