I have code in VB.Net 2002 which opens reports and quite nicely provides them with data using the ReportDocument.SetDataSource method, unfortunately when using this with reports created recently using either Crystal .net (ver 9) or Crystal Reports 10 (full version) i get a error when the report is opened in the crystal report viewer. The reports are designed using a view as the datasource and i provide a stored procedure (SQL Server 2000) with...

I have a crystal report that works fine when run through Crystal, which
I am triying to incorporate into a crystal report viewer. The report
takes 1 parameter, which is either 0 or 1. If the paremeter is 1 then a
filter is placed onto the data by the database server (Oracle PL/SQL
procedure in a package), parameter is 0 then it doesn't use the filter.
When I run this with the filter on the program works fine and the
report is displayed,...

Hey all,
Been working with the Crystal Report Viewer, and have run into a situation I
am hoping someone can help me get past. This may be more of a CR question,
but hoping for some CR gurus to stop by in here.
Crystal's knowledgebase has made available a bunch of examples for both
ASP.Net and VB.Net applications for download and review (I added the links
at the end of this post). One of the examples is how to pass in a parameter
to...

Hi,
I think i'm doing something simple, although i may be wrong. I was able
to load a Crystal report file up until today, and even now, its only 1
report that's misbehaving. I'll confess that i didn't create the
report, it was done by our Crystal guy with Crystal 9 (or 8), all i do
is load it using .NET, which, like i said before, worked just fine.
Here's the code:
//i call this func from Page_Load passing in only the filename

hello,
i have an .RPT file that i am using to load a report via the ASP.NET
CrystalReportViewer control. i dont include my .RPTs as embedded
resources...instead i load the absolute path of the .rpt (on the file
system) to the control's ".ReportSource" property. i do this because i
like to move new versions of the reports w/o having to rebuild the
site.
then i pass in filter criteria to the control's ".SelectionFormula"

Hi,
In my computer, I have the built in Crystal Report for VS on my Visual
Studio .Net 2003, but this version of Crystal Report doesn't meet my need.
So I have installed a new Crystal Report XI on my VS2003 without removing
the built in Crystal Report for VS.
When I tried to open a report which is created in the CR11, the VS.Net gave
me an error saying "query engine error".
How do I fix the question so that I can open a CR11 report in...

I have a vb.net 2005 project and have a Crystal report I have designed
(using the built-in Crystal reports that came with .net 2005). The fields in
my report are based on a stored procedure. I have now added a field to the
database and have modifed the stored procedure to include this new field.
However, when I go to my report and attempt to modify it to add this new
field, the new field is not showing up in the list at all. It appears the...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
