DirectX 9.0A end-user runtime and Managed DirectX.

Tom
The Microsoft update page scans my computer which has
Windos XP Home Edition. The website recommends
installing both DirectX 9.0A end-user runtime and Managed
DirectX.

The problem is I have successfully installed DirectX 9.0A
end-user runtime after which the Microsoft update scan
comes up with Managed DirectX as a final update needed.

Managed DirectX fails to install. It gives a message
which looks something like 2.3MB/2.3MB downloading. Then
their is a large red X with a failed installation message?

I cannot figure out why the scan would recommend Managed
DirectX update and it will not install?

Hi there, I have code as following but it returns error Error Type: Microsoft VBScript compilation (0x800A03F6) Expected 'End' /urbisjhdintranet/metadata/resultList.asp, line 324 which is the second last line at the end of the code. I have no idea where to put 'end'. It would be great if anyone could help. Thanks heaps! Nat

Hi I have a front-end/back-end setup. The front-end utilises all unbound forms populating the back-end via the code I have written. All fine so far. Prior to splitting the database I ran the security wizard and used a shortcut from the desktop. All fine except of course I can open the back-end directly. The security FAQ appears to be out of date insofar as there is no wrkgadm.exe with 2002 and therefore you simply run the security...

Hi Team The function below searches all the tables in a database. However, if subsearch = true then it searches all the objects listed in a recordset (which are all table names). I thought to be really clever and use : #if subsearch ... #else ..... #end if

Hi: I have an application that has a back end and a front end. I need to add a table which is identical to one in the back end, and then use it for a temporary holing place form some records. I have done the following: .. Copied the table in the back end and given the copy a new name .. Created a table with the identical name to the back end copy in the front end .. Used the linkage process to link the table reference in the front end...

I got bored today, so I decided to rewrite the code in KB article 316383 to decrease the number of object references. This resulted in a number of nested With ... End With. The original code had a Dim r As Integer, c As Integer shortly before a For Next.

I'm working on an application in Access 2002, and every time I'm done making changes in the VBA project, the database is noticeably larger after compacting, even when code changes are small or even if they involve removing more code than I add. In the past, I've usually been able to recover space in these situations by decompiling the front-end, but in this case, after I decompile, compact, recompile, and compact again, the database has...

I have a question about forward iterators and what one should do or not do with them. I'm planning on writing a container that, when all boils down to it, stores a sequence of strings. I want threads to be able to read this sequence from start to end, and when they reach the end, wait until new data is added to the end. If so, it should pick up reading where it left off. The question is, is it valid and moral to do something like this from...
