Hi,
I have a program that runs on multiple client pc's. Occasionally one or more
of those pc's use VPN to connect to another corporate network. When using
VPN they need to set proxy server in Internet Explorer connection settings
(proxy:8080). However, as soon as this setting is enabled, the remoting
program running on their pc stops communicating with the server it sends
data to. I've disabled proxy setting on the affected pc, rebooted...

I have a problem with a web service proxy written in .NET and used
from VS6's C++ as COM object.
This proxy works great when used from a .NET application.
It does not seem to work when used as COM object for C++ application.

I call a web service from a .NET CF application (Pocket PC). My problem
occurs if the URL is not found, because I am not connected to the correct
network. It takes 50 seconds before it returns to my application, giving a
Web exception ("The remote name could not be resolved"). I need to reduce
this timeout.
I tried setting Timeout in my web service proxy to 10000, but this has no
effect. It still takes 50 seconds. Documentation says that...

Hello everybody
I am making a function sending SMS, to send SMS we subscribe for a service
from the norwegian telephone company Netcom
To send these messages we send a HttpWebRequest over internet.
The function work well when I am sending from my home without proxy, but
when I take the computer inside the company I get problem with the proxy,
the error message is
"The remote server returned an error: (504) Gateway Timeout."
