Is there an effecient/fast way in python to convert binary data from file
(24bit hex(int) big endian) to 32bit int (little endian)? Have seen
struct.unpack, but I am unsure how and what Python has to offer. Idar
The orginal data format is stored in blocks of 512 words
(1536B=3Bytes/word) on the form Ch1: 1536B (3B*512), the binary (hex) data
is big endian
Ch2: 1536B (3B*512)
Ch3: 1536B (3B*512)
and so on

I would like to load image from a directory right into an image list.
I wrote a simple library that loads the images in the directory and
resizes them as needed before adding to the wx.ImageList.
This is not the same code but some snippets.
I resize the image this way (using Python Imaging Library):
def resizeimage(image,newsize):
oldsize = (image.GetWidth(),image.GetHeight())
if oldsize != newsize:

The script below is a prototype for loading playing card images
from the bitmap resource in cards.dll (WinXP)
I like the idea of not keeping copies of the images
as files.
I'm able to extract the card images as files, then load
them in pygame as a surface, but I keep getting errors

I'm trying to use the Bitmap class's Save Method to save a Bitmap as a
GIF. My code runs fine, and converts the image, but the quality is
not anywhere close to as good. I know that GIF quality is not a good
as a BMP's but, is there a way to convert the image while preserving
its quality. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here's what I

I had tried using the .net Visual Studio 2003's crystal report to print a letter with a full 24bit RGB color letter head, but the quality reduces to 8bit color. How to fix this problem?
