I have an application I created called "JpegViewer.exe". It simply loads a
Jpeg file and displays in on the screen. It works great, in my lab.
When I am using it at a customer site, things change. Occasionally, it
blows up with an Application Exception. It seems to only die at the
customer site

Does anyone know how to determine if the guest account is disabled on a
remote computer on the server? I was thinking I could read a registry key to
do it, but I do not know if such a key exists. Below is code showing how I
determine if CTRL+ALT+DEL is required to logon to the remote machine using
the registry. If it is not required then I change the key to make it
required. I was hoping I could do something similar for the guest account....

I have no knowledge of MS SQL server or .net development.
I have visual studio express installed on my system. I would like the
guest account to be used to learn the development work. It seems
Visual Web Developer is working only as long as there is no need to
connect to SQL server, it seems to be privileges problem, am I rite?
If so, how can this be solved, I would like the 'Guest' user be able
to use it (SQL server). Thanks in advance....

Hello,
I have a bunch of C programs that I've written and I was wondering if
there was a program out there, preferably free, or a method of running
these programs on my Windows Vista notebook? I don't necessarily need
a program that will compile anything, just run the binary files. I was
told about jGrasp, but could not get the compiler to work or figure
out how to just run a program without compiling the source file.
Thanks for any...

I am having a problem with the validation of the account number and password.
The beginning of the program asks for users account # then pwd. The program is then supposed to go to a checkID method that checks the account number and pwd with 3 stored accounts (each account/pwd/balance is stored as one long string) so the checkID method breaks up the string into its seperate parts and then checks if the input matches. If it does match one of...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
