A web application of mine developed using C# + MS SQL runs fine normally.
However when I stress test it with a load testing software (using about 60
simultaneous users) some instances start erroring out. I see two different
errors. One is a "Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
error, which appears to always contain the same information, and the other
is a "There is no row at position X.", where X is a number.
Is this...

Is there a way to see constraint validation errors while loading xml into a
DataSet ? I'm interested in the line number in the xml file which is causing
the error. I've enclosed the relevant stack trace below.
at System.Data.DataSet.FailedEnableConstraints()
at System.Data.DataSet.EnableConstraints()
at System.Data.DataSet.set_EnforceConstraints(Boolean value)

Can the CustomValidator be used to simply report unexpected errors,
without requiring Client/Server validation? To explain, say you had a
simple text box and button that did a Full-text Search of a Catalogue
in SQL. Malformed search requests can generate a variety of errors,
which I simply want to catch, set the CustomValidator's IsValid method
to false and assign the ErrorMessage to the CustomValidator's Message
property. For example:

I have an XML Schema file that I know is correct becuase I currently
use it in a VB6 program to validate XML documents. Also, if I load an
XML file into VS2005 that is not valid against this schema, I get XML
errors (blue squigglies) in a few places, which indicates to me that I
should get validation errors while validating through code.
When I try to validate an invalid document, I never get any validation
errors. I have tried many...

Hello,
I have applications that produce the following error when they have been
open to long without activity. Is there any way to force a re-load of the
page or go to another page if the page has expired instead of getting the
error?
Thanks,

I've been creating an application over the last few weeks and generally
pleased with what I have produced but one area is irritating me, form
validation.
At the moment the forms are simply static html templates and the form input
is checked using a validation class. Basically each form field is checked,
every error is stored to an array and at the end of checking of the complete
form, the array is output neatly at the top of the form.

Hi,
using firefox browser and have a FrontPage built site: www.irenezart.com.
used W3C markup validation service which came up with lots of errors in my index page. then I changed the doctype to strict and the validator came up with even more errors! I'm not very HTML literate so the errors are foreign to me and i do not know what to do about any of this. I am wondering if it even matters since the site is working as of now. I'd...

Hi,
I've created an n-tier app where validation rules reside in the
business layer. When a webform is saved, a business object examines
its state, and if some property is invalid, throws a custom exception
(ValidationException)
The exception bubbles up to the UI where it gets trapped:
Private Sub Page_Error(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
