VS2005 - The breakpoint will not be currently be hit. No Symbols

I have a c# web project from VS 2003 that went through the VS 2005 conversion
wizard. The problem is that the C# code behind will not stop at the
breakpoints. When the cursor is hovered above the breakpoint, they now have
a Yield sign and the following message apprears:
The breakpoint will not currently be hit. No symbols have been loaded for
this document.

I have read through the numerous post on this subject but none them provide
the answer that I needed. I'm willing to start at square one though to get
this resolved.

Things I have tried:
1. I had the project create a whole new web.config file. Debug is set to
true.
2. In Properties Configuration Start Options I have all 3 debug check boxes
set.
3. PDB files. In VS2003 there would be a PDB file in the Bin directory
along with the same named DLL file for the project. There are no PDB file(s)
in the Bin directory. The only PDB files I can find on any hard drive for
the latest date are in the .NET Temporary folder / <project Name>/ ***.pdb.
And these PDB names make no since. They all start with App_*******.pdb

I'm open to any suggestions. The PDB may be the place to start.

In framework 1.0, In my Windows application in the breakpoints I add to one of the classes, I get this message: "The breakpoint will not currently be hit. No symbols have been loaded for this document". The only thing I did (that I remember) was change the name of the solution and modify the Project Dependencies. I searched in the Net but the only cases I found are for Web applications.

Can someone pls help me to solve this problem. Thanks in advance. After adding a breakpoint to a line of coding, the whole line turned red and there is a big red dot next to it. However if I run the program, a question mark appeared inside the big red dot with a message of "The breakpoint will not currently be hit. No symbols have been loaded for this document" and the program simply pass this breakpoint without stopping. Pls help!!

I'm having problems w/ the VS2005 debugger with C#. It blows past any breakpoints in even the simplest "Hello World" console application. I can't do any step-by-step debugging. I've provided the code and debugging output later in this post. I've seen a number of threads with similar problems that I'll address below. The one that's the largest concern is this one, which talks about the same problem trying to use the debugger with SQL...

My colleague is having problems debugging in VS2005. When he sets breakpoints in his code and launches his application via Debug->Start New Instance, the breakpoints autodisable themselves and the "breakpoint icon" switches from being filled in to outlined with a warning glyph on the bottom right hand corner. When moused-over, the icon reads "The breakpoint will not currently be hit. The specified module is not being loaded." I checked the...

When I try to debug my code, Visual Studio is skipping my breakpoints. At runtime, the solid red circle becomes only the outline of a circle, and if I hover over the breakpoint I see the message "The breakpoint will not currently be hit. No symbols have been loaded for this document." Breakpoints seem to be functional in the startup project, but nowhere else. I've found that I can hit a breakpoint in the startup project, then step...

Hi Everyone, I just started to get this error today. "The breakpoint will not currently be hit. The source code is different then the original. It seems to walk right over my breakpoints. I'm not sure whats going on here. I only have the code in one location, so I'm not sure why I'd get a message like this. Thanks for any suggestions. Michael Lee

Hi! I recently converted an application from VS2003 to VS2005. The application consists of a main 'unmanaged C++ executable' which calls a managed C++ .dll. The .dll basically launches a separate form. The application use to work fine in VS2003. Now that I have converted to VS2005 the main executable is working but an exception gets

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
