I have my project(s) set to Debug mode...asp.net debugging is enabled, I've
re-registered asp_net. This particular solution has an asp.net and an ASP
application in it...I can set breakpoints in the ASP application and the
breakpoints are hit but the breakpoints in the asp.net application are never
hit. This used to work and I'm not sure what happened to cause it to
break....I've read all of the posts/documents that I can find but I...

I'm having troubles getting the debugging process to work consistenly for
external classes. I got it to work once and then I turned it off. But now I
can't get re-enabled. Here is what I'm doing. If someone could tell me what
I'm missing that would be great.
1. Create an external class and call it Test.dll.
2. Create a test Asp.net app called App.sln.
3. For App.sln I set a reference to Test.dll.
4. Compile App.sln and run it. The web...

I'm having problems w/ the VS2005 debugger with C#. It blows past any
breakpoints in even the simplest "Hello World" console application. I can't
do any step-by-step debugging. I've provided the code and debugging output
later in this post.
I've seen a number of threads with similar problems that I'll address below.
The one that's the largest concern is this one, which talks about the same
problem trying to use the debugger with SQL...

In VS2003 I had a class library project that I started via a URL and I had
ASP.NET debugging enabled to allow me to debug the web pages code behind in
my project. I have moved the app to VS2005 and I no longer have that option
(Enable ASP.NET debugging checkbox on the project properties Debug Tab). I
can still debug the app by attaching to the aspnet_wp.exe process. However,
is there another way to do it - has this option been moved...

I have a VC6 ANSI C (console) project that I have recompiled sucessfully
under VS2005.
However, when I attempt to debug the code (step through) - my
breakpoints are disabled (msg : "beakpoints will not be hit"), and worse
still - I find that instead of steopping through my code, I am stepping
through a file named crt.exe - which guessing from the function names in
the file (as well as the file name itself) - is something to do with the...

Hey
How can I get a list of breakpoints in Visual Studio 2005, while the loaded
solution is in Edit mode (not running or not debugging)...
I'm trying to learn thousands of uncommented C# code and if I had some kind
of bookmarks (breakpoints) I then could more easly scroll to those specific
lines, instead of scrolling thousands of lines and very easly scroll past
the line I was looking for...

Introduction
This tutorial describes how to use Visual Studio to create a new C++ program, compile/run a program, resume work on an existing program and debug a program. It is aimed at the beginning CIS student who is struggling to get their programs working. I work in the computer lab at the college I'm attending and I see many students who don't know how to use the IDE for best results.
Visual Studio automatically creates a number of...

C/C++ Programs and Debugging in Linux
This tutorial will give you a basic idea how to debug a program in Linux using GDB. As you are aware Visual Studio doesn’t run on Linux so you have to use some of the tools provided on the command-line. If you hate the command line tools, get over it since you’re bound to be using them at some point in your career. All commands in Linux ARE case sensitive so capital letters are different from lowercase...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
