Hi,
We are facing some issues in COM+ deployment. We get system error
"Unable to enlist in a distributed transaction" . It has a very
inconsistant behaviour. On refreshing the screens couple of times, the
error disappears. Also it reappears abruptly giving an impression that
the transaction failed although the changes are commited to the
database. Please let me know if any of you have faced it before.
This is a .Net Application with...

Does the Oracle work with Windows Server 2003 and .NET? I am trying to run
an ASP.NET app and keep getting the error "System.DllNotFoundException:
Unable to load DLL (OraOps9.dll)". The dll in in the Oracle bin directory
and I have relaxed permissions for ASP.NET and IUSR_machinename.
This worked fine on Windows XP. I have downloaded all the latest patches
for the client. Am I trying to do the impossible? Do I have to revert to
XP?...

I'm using a product which internally installs oracle 8. This product
works on Windows 2000. I'm planning to install same product on Windows
2003 and use it in compatibility mode.
Can anybody tell me whether it will work or not? Do I need to carry
out specifict settings? (As per my understanding, I need to set
compatibility mode for each program to windows 2000. The product that
I'm using as well as oracle product doesn't constitue a single...

What additional steps are needed to allow web apps to access oracle ODP.NET
resources under Windows Server 2003?
When using Oracle's ODP.NET (9.2.0.401) from a WebForm I get permission
errors when invoking oracle - System Error: Unable to load DLL (OraOps9.dll).
Impersonation fixes the error - but cannot be used as a production solution.
Under Windows 2000 all you needed to do after installing the Oracle ODP was

I’m trying to connect with perl DBD::Oracle on Windows to Oracle DB (Linux).
I compiled the Oracle.dll using the commands “perl Makefile.pl” “nmake” and “nmake install”, but when I try to connect to the DB, I get the following runtime error:
“R6034 an application has made an attempt to load the C Runtime library incorrectly.
Please contact the applications’ support team for more information.”
I suspect that I mixed the versions of VC...

Hey,
I have been studying and working on databases for quite a time now. I
know quite a lot about databases. Now I have been assigned a project
where I have to build an application using the database. I know all
the work to be done with database. The cause of worry is front end of
the application. Since I have no expertise in any of the language I am
totally helpless, how to develop a good front end.
I know I can easily make a front end...

Sorry for the long post, I've tried so hard to solve this one but I'm
just stuck!
We've had a multiuser .mdb file on a network share for years. I know
it's not ideal, but it's worked well from Access 2000 to 2003. Ever
since we upgraded to 2007, we've noticed some serious bloating.
When we were on 2003, after a fresh compact, the database would be at
about 20 MB. After normal use it would grow to about 25 MB and then
significantly...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
