Hi everybody,
Well I have a svg file as shown below:
<svg width='500' height='550' viewbox='40 40 500 550'
xmlns='http://www.w3.org/2000/svg'>
<image x='40' y='40' width='500' height='550' xlink:href='Map Pic.jpg'
xmlns:xlink='ht tp://www.w3.org/1999/xlink ' />
</svg>
Afterwards, I have a vb file which will do the following work:
It will create an xml doc and load the above svg file again..
Then I will append the doc by creating an element such as path and add
its attributes.
as shown below:
xmlShowPath = xmldoc.CreateEl ement("path")
AddAttribute(xm ldoc, xmlShowPath, "d=M", getM)
AddAttribute(xm ldoc, xmlShowPath, "L", getL)
AddAttribute(xm ldoc, xmlShowPath, "fill", color)
AddAttribute(xm ldoc, xmlShowPath, "Stroke", getColor)
AddAttribute(xm ldoc, xmlShowPath, "Stroke-width", 7)
xmldoc.Document Element.AppendC hild(xmlShowPat h)
After running the application, i got the subject at line 4 column 0
Can anyone see what's causing this error?
My thnks in advance

Hi,
I'm using XML DOM in Java and I have a function like this
Element makeSomeXml(Document doc) {..}
This returns an Element owned by (but not appended to) the specified
document.
Now, when I call this function, sometimes I want to append the result

I'm a beginner with Javascript and especially cross-browser
Javascript. I got this working in IE, but not in Netscape 7. It seems
like, in Netscape, every time I click on a button, the focus shifts to
that button, so there is no text to be selected. What should I do?
Below you'll see some code that I have in one of my forms. I was
hoping to have these buttons and when I click on them they would take
selected text from a textarea box and...

This PHP function prints out a bunch of Javascript (as you can see).
This is all part of the open source weblog software of PDS
(www.publicdomainsoftware.org). We had this javascript stuff working,
but it only worked for IE. You can see a working version here:

password: designer123
However, I've tried to rewrite this so it would work in all browsers,

I really, really, need some help here - I've spent hours trying to find a

Is this the correct way to test for a method before I use it?
createRange() is, I believe, an IE only method.
function wrapSelectionInTag(selection, tag) {
if (document.selection.createRange) {
var range = document.selection.createRange();
if (range.parentElement() == element) range.text = '<' + tag +
'>' + range.text + '<\/' + tag + '>';
}

Hi.
I have an event handler in VB.NET that gets called several times.
The output of the event handler is XML that is being called by
an xmlhttp request from the client.
I am using a stringbuilder to create the XML document by
appending the various parts:
sbhtml.Append("<Some XML Tag>")

I've seen a few frameworks use the following:
function $(id) { return document.getElementById(id); }
Then to use:

I'm just trying to roll this out to my site and so far doing this has
saved about 8KB of javascript (lots of ajax/dynamic elements). I just

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
