Session State Issue with Report Viewer control

I am using the Report Viewer Web Control in Asp.Net 2.0. We are utilizing
SQL Server Session state. We would like to use cookieless session state,
however, the report viewer controls display an "ASP.Net Session timeout"
whenever we set the session to be cookieless. When we set the session state
to utilize cookies (cookieless=fal se) the control works just fine.

The documentation suggests that SQL Server Session State is supported by the
control but does not mention cookieless or cookie session state. We only
learned by trial and error.

Any one else run into a problem like this? Any help would be appreciated.

We are developing a VB.NET database application, using windows forms and Microsoft Access. The application requires dynamic reports, where the users change data on the forms, if a report is being shown it will automatically update. To do this we are using the .NET crystal report viewer, which loads a crystal report that we set it's data source at runtime using a dataset. If the user changes data on the data collection form, we update...

I have written a Custom Control Menu. Its fairly simple but it works well enough. In order to simplify things I decided to store the Menu1 custom control in Session. In the page load event below, it retreives the Menu from session and assigns its reference to Menu1. Within the Page_Load event I can see its internal values which have been retreived for each menu item and so it looks good. However, when the Render method is called of...

I have the following situation in a VB.Net App I am working on: 1.)A report created in VS.Net 2003 using the CR.Net component of VS 2003. 2.)The datasource for the report is a Stored Proc in a SQL Server DB (pull method). 3.)The Stored Proc has two input parameters of type date. 4.)The Stored Proc is a rather complex proc that was not written by me, but does work(see next item). It currently returns about 13K rows of data. 5.)The...

Hope someone can help. We are trying to deploy an ASP.Net 2.0 application to a 3-node webfarm. The application uses the ReportViewer control in local mode, hence we need session state. Because we dont wan't a single point of failure we use SQL Session State. I have setup a persistant sql session state database on a SQL 2000 server (this is a cluster in production, so no SPOF) I have setup our web.config files to include; " <sessionState...

Hello Here is my issue, I created a crystal report using a data set from my xsd. Then I created a page with the crystal report viewer control and bound the report to it. When I try to view the report on the browser I get a logon page even though my dataset has a connection string saved within it. When I preview the data in the dataset I see it no problem. however the report doesn't seem to know that the dataset is there or that the

I have a wizard control that has a varying number of steps. Each step utilizes different custom business objects and populates values. The steps are partially determined at the beginning of the wizard. Imagine a reporting wizard where you grab all of the parameters for a report. So, each of the steps are in a separate user control. The user control loads the appropriate objects from session controlled by properties on the control...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
