Show Application Icon in Notification area

Raj
Hai ,

When running application, the icon shoul not be displayed in
taskbar, rather than, it is to be displayed in the notoification area
where the system time is displayed. What steps to be performed while
building Setup for the project?

Hi, I have an application that has a form and a few classes. Rather than the form being the startup object "Application.Run(new Form1())", I would like one of the classes to be the startup. The startup class would then contain an instance of the form, to use as it's UI. To do this (and correct me if I'm wrong), I believe I need to create an ApplicationContext object, and pass that to the Application.Run() method?

I am in the process of developing a Windows Service which will: (1) monitor multiple network shares; (2) marshal text file transfers into an SQL Server 2000 instance; and (3) provide messaging services via email and a customized event log viewer. An additional goal is to have the service provide a visual status indicator via an icon to be located in the Taskbar status area. The NotifyIcon component appears to be a logical candidate and worked...

I searched for a couple hours lastnight on example code of how to go about making an item in the System Tray (notification area) not be square. I've found several programs that do this but I can't seem to find any documentation on how to actually get this to work. I checked out some system messages that NotifyIcon uses thinking that I could just make my component from scratch using these but nothing seemed to be allowed to adjust the...

I have a shared project that contains icons and bitmaps that are used throughout my suite of applications. I have to set Form.Icon, PictureBox.Image, etc. using code because the form designer can't see the icons and bitmaps unless they're in the local project. This is only slightly inconvenient compared to the benefits from managing the icons and bitmaps centrally. However, I can't see how to do set the Application Icon using code. It...

Hi, I just bought a SanDisk Cruzer 4GB "U3" thumb drive. Is it possible to run an Access 2003 MDE off of one, complete with data? If so, what would I have to do to get it to work? Just curious. No Biggie! I thought I'd take a break from writing code and try something different. I guess I could go fishing :-) -paulw

Is there any way to get rid of that ugly blown-up blue window icon that appears on all of my VB.net executables? I would rather just have the system's default application icon, like in C# and C++. -- Best Regards, Mark Seymour mark.seymour@live.ca

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
