Hi,

I want do download a XML file using the WebBrowser class. How can I
prevent that the file is converted to HTML code using a stylesheet.

Thanks,Kurt

A browser is mainly for rendering and not for downloading. If you want
to download consider using WebClient or WebRequest if possible.
If you are using a WebBrowser control then whether that treats a
requested resource as XML and applies its default stylesheet to render
the tree depends on the Content-Type the response is sent with.
Can you change what the server sends?
I don't know much about the WebBrowser control, the documentation says
it has a method named ShowSaveAsDialo g, perhaps that helps.
It is not really an XML question, rather a question to program the
WebBrowser control, maybe someone in a WinForm .NET groups knows more.

Thanks. When I tried to download a few files the WebControl was more robust.

You are Right. Thanks.

I want to open a word document stored in my database. What I do is save the document locally, and then open a new winform that has the WebBrowser Control on it and navigate to that new file. This allows the user to manipulate the file and save it. When they close the WebBrowser, if the contents has changed I save it back to the db, and delete the local file. My problem is the "File Download" window that comes up. If the user

I am using an HTTPS://...asp page to download a PDF using a .NET 2.0 WebBrowser. (Have to use WebBrowser, not HttpWebRequest for complicated authentication reasons.) I have confirmed that Tools -Folder Options -File Types -PDF -> Advanced -"Confirm open after download" is unchecked. When I access the URL on regular Windows XP O/S the download occurs automatically, as expected.

It's not necessary, but it would be nice if there was a way I could easily create something like a 'web browser form' or a 'display web page form' as forms in my application (in a Panel would be even better!). Something that allows browsing the internet within the window, or possibly just display a web page that I choose (as the application author in code) to show without the ability to browse. The later ability would allow me to change,...

My application now listens on a socket and when it receives a request it creates a new Form and adds a new WebBrowser. Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
