WebBrowser Control and Digital Certificates

Hi All:

I'm using the WebBrowser control in one Form inside my VB.NET application;
the page I'm going to display in the control requires you to have a Digital
Certificate since it's secured. The DC is already installed in my PC so when
the page is loaded i got the popup asking to select the certificate from a
list of my certificates.

My question is: How I can automate this so the user can choose only one what
DC to use then my application forwards the DC to the web server
automatically so there's no need to ask for the certificate every time the
page is loaded and/or refreshed?

Thanks for your help!

Regards,

Federico

Hi all, Happy New Year. I am using SignedXML and an X509 certificate to digitally sign a SOAP message body and put the signature in the SOAP header for a B2B business application. Can you suggest which type of digital certificates from VeriSign is for this purpose? I checked VeriSign's web site but didn't find it obvious to decide.

Hi everyone Has anyone got the least experience in integrating the Digital Signature with an ASP.NET Web Application? Here in Denmark, as I supose in many other countries, they're promoting the digital signature. A lot of people already has one, to do their taxes, and much more. I have to use for a business-to-business e-commerce solution, where it's vital that the right user is being logged on, and not give his username and password...

Hello everybody, I am struggling with this issue for a few days now. I need to create an automatic process to daily download a file from a server that requires a digital certificate. The protocol used is HTTPS. This is what I did so far: // obtain a collection of certificates X509Store store = new X509Store("MY", StoreLocation.CurrentUser); store.Open(OpenFlags.ReadOnly | OpenFlags.OpenExistingOnly); collection =...

We have a requirement where we need to enforce digital certificates on client machines. In abstract, the requirement is to have digital certificates installed in a limited set of machines in the client local network which certain users will need to use in order to gain login to the system. These users will hold different roles in the system. The idea is that we need to stop these users from login in to the system from any other machine except...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
