I have a rudimentary gui with a class that extends JPanel, which sets its
content to a jpg image using:
if (im != null) { g.drawImage(im,0,0,null); }
in the paint() method. However, when I create a JScrollPane that uses this
JPanel extension as its scrollable client, and call a validate, the
scrollbars get visuall overwritten with the jpg image.
Has anyone encountered this error before and knows how to fix it?

I have a program where I used Win32 calls to add items to my form's system
menu. Now I am attempting to have those items use the same icon that the
corresponding toolbar button uses. I thought that I could just access the
image on the fly and send it to Windows. Trouble is that results in an
image with dark blue where the image is transparent. (The menu's background

Hi all,
I have a directory full of images (most over 2MB in size) I was to show
each image as a thumbnail on a form, however in order to create a thumbnail I
have to open the complete image then scale it down. This is quite slow,
since there is a lot of file IO going on, what I want to be able to do is
open the image in the scaled down size so that I miss out the step of opening
the file then dowsizing it. I have not been able to find...

I’m wrote a small DLL that used the FreeImage.DLL (that can be found at
http://www.codeproject.com/bitmap/graphicsuite.asp).
I also wrote a small console application in C++ (unmanaged) that uses the

I am getting the response from another Website by using the HttpHandler in
my current site. I am getting the page but all the images on that page are
not appearing only placeholder are displayed.

On a Windows XP running Apache 2.0.53 I do my page development (XP

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
