ATL::g_pfnGetTh readACP VS2005

I moved from VS2003 to VS2005
I use the conversion functions from the 'atlconv.h'. Since I use the VS 2005
I get the unresolved linker error ATL::g_pfnGetTh readACP.

Anybody know in which file or library this function are defined?

Thanks Thomas

Just include atlbase.h in the module that seems to trigger the error. I guess
you are using atlcomcli.h in that same module - at least that is what
triggered this new behaviour in one of my projects (also migrated to VS2005).

hth!

1) I've seen that you can download for free the .NET 2003 SDK, which seems to include everything you need to build apps from the command line, so you only have to actually pay for the development tools if you want the IDE, right? I've also seen the VS.NET 2005 beta express editions downloadable from MS. Will we therefore be seeing a full 2005 .NET SDK beta that includes full development tools but no IDE like before to be downloadable for...

Are attributed ATL projects be supported under Whidbey for Smart Devices? The New ATL Project dialog box doesn't have the 'Attributed' check box for smart devices projects in Beta1, but Win32 desktop projects do have this checkbox. When I add a new class to my ATL Smart Device project and select for instance an ATL Simple Object, I do have the possibility to generate an attributed class. However, when I build I get the following errors:

I have a VB.Net application in VS2005 that communicates to a ATL written in VC++ loaded as a project resource. The communications with the ATL DLL library work well in the VB primary thread. But if I try and communicate in the same way with the ATL in a secondary thread (System.Threading.Thread), then the communications speed with the ATL slows down by a factor of about 100X. I am assuming that tis is beacuse of some marshalling or other...

Hi, I'm using vs2005 for developing a pocket pc application. There are some interesting thing happen after the app has called the atl control. After receiving the event from the atl, it seems that the vb UI has lost the instance of the UI. I could not visible a button or text in the form. Since I got a simple atl that only receive the event and passing the event back to the VB and show up a text box to indicate the control is success.

Hi All, My requirement: I want to use TestDll.dll(ATL COM DLL, Threading Model - Apartment, Interface - Dual and Aggregation - Yes) in ASPX pages. I created type library for TestDll.dll (ATL COM DLL) using tlbimp from VS2005 command prompt. Output is TESTDLLLib.lib(.NET Assembly). It has only one function which is CreateFileInCDrive(). It just creates one text file in C Drive.

This problem is entirely in Microsoft's VS2005 C++ headers, so I'm hoping someone has hit it before and knows the fix. I am convertied a medium size (400k lines) C++ program over to VS2005 native C++, rewriting it's COM stuff to ATL. I have crtdbg.h in the global include file and have _CRT_MAP_ALLOC turned on at the project level. I'm getting a crash at line 707 in the function _com_ptr_t::CreateInstance in file comip.h. The crash was...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
