I have a Web Service in which I am trying to pass an XMLDocument as a
parameter to one of the methods. I would like to use the XMLTextReader to
read the XML but I am getting the following error:
Value of type System.xml.xmldocument cannot be converted to
System.IO.textreader.
I would think this is possible to do.

I have run into a problem when trying to import a WSDL reference under VS
2003 and 1.1 of the framework. It appears as if it is in the generation of
the proxy that things are failing.
When I add the reference, I get the following error:
C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\WebServices\samples\WSDL\dotnet\OblixSampleForDotNetWSDL\Web

Hi,
I have created a Java webservice which runs in IBM WebSphere appserver. I
take the WSDL-file and create a VS.NET WinForm application and calls the
service running on my PC and everything works fine.
So I deploy the webservice on a remote machine (Linux box) and I get an
error when calling the service. BUT: I can retrieve the WSDL and make a
webreference in my VS.NET project, so obviously I (or more correct: My VS.NET

I wrote a web service projects having 2 asmx and 1 dataset, says dsTest1.
The amsx will have a parameter of the dataset as follows:
in 1st asmx:
<Wethod()HelloWorld1 (byval a1 as dsTest1) as string
in 2nd asmx:

Hi, I hope someone could help me.
I have a simple web service that I developed on my laptop that resides
within a large web application. It queries Northwind & presents the data in a
grid in the asp.net client page that called it. I moved the whole app to a
test server, & when I try to run it, I get the error "No connection could be
made because the target machine actively refused it". It looks like the wsdl
still points to my laptop...

Hi,
We were using .Net Framework 1.1 version of wsdl utility to generate proxy
classes for our ASP.Net 1.1 version. But now if I try to create proxy classes
for .Net Framework 2.0 version the classes are created but when I try to
consume the web service some extra events are being added which is creating
problems. What could be the problem.

I've writtin a very simple web service in axis which returns an array of
classes.
I consume it in a .net app. When receiving the response, my .net app
generates an error "Cannot assign object of type System.Object to an
object of type PersonWS.WorkGroupData.".
