NET 2.0 ftp, ftps

Does the .Net 2.0 framework include support for ftp?

ftps ( secure ftp )?

Are there any samples for implementation?

You could try FtpWebRequest and FtpWebResponse, there are several samples in
the BOL.

I need to run FTP over SSL from windows (not shitty sftp via ssh etc!) as explained on http://www.ford-hutchinson.com/~fh-1-pfh/ftps-ext.html (good variant 3: FTP_TLS ) I tried to learn from M2Crypto's ftpslib.py (uses OpenSSL - not Pythons SSL) and made a wrapper for ftplib.FTP using Pythons SSL. I wrap the cmd socket like:

Does the ftplib support SFTP or FTPS? Is that part of a different module? We have a handful of partners who use FTPS or SFTP and I need to pull/push files to/from them. Thank you for all of your help. -Pete Schott

Hello all! I have been troubled for the past couple of days trying to write a simple script that sends a file to an ftp server. It used to be the easiest thing in the world, but now the server has changed to a ftps (ftp over ssl) server. All of the sudden, the world has come to a crawling stop. Seems that M2Crypto would maybe do the trick, but I can't buy the thing (they won't pay for it). Other than suggesting projects, does any...

Does anyone know of any good examples for writing client side code to upload files over a secure FTP connection? I am referring to FTPS, *not* SFTP, which I found out the hard way are two different things. I am not really all that familiar with FTPS, but from what I understand, when the client sends the "AUTH" command, it can request a TLS connection from the server. I wasn't sure how to do this in Python, and Googling around didn't...

I am trying to install Php5 on my WindowsXP machine (at home, not on the 'net). I downloaded the Php Windows binary at php.net, unzipped it to c:/Php5, changed my Apache config file to use Php5 with: LoadModule php5_module "c:/Php5/php5apache2.dll" .... and restarted apache (Apache/2.0.55 (Win32) mod_ssl/2.0.55 OpenSSL/0.9.8a) Php5 works fine, but when I execute phpinfo, the registered streams are:

How do you make Php be able to open secure streams (see "Registered PHP streams" in the first block of phpinfo() output). I run WAMP on my home PC (Windows XP Pro - Apache 2.0.5.5 - MySQL - and Php 4.4.1-pl1). I struggled with this with Php4. I installed OpenSSL, but that was not enough. Finally, I downloaded and unzipped xampp, copied the php folder (that's the Php4.4.1-pl1 I am now using) and there they were. I have a script that...

I need to use VB 6.0 (or perhaps vb.net) to use FTP using SSL. I already have an app using the INET control doing FTP. Would it support FTPS as well? How? If not, and I use .NET, do I need to use a 3rd party control (we have IPSwitch's WS_FTP) or can I code it fairly easily? Any samples out there?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
