I created a DLL in VB6 that handles all the database access for some ASP
pages that I created. The application basically authenticates the user
against the database, does a search, reads a graphic file from the database,
writes it to a folder on the server, then displays it in a browser. All was
working great on my laptop with XP Pro. I now installed it on a 2003 server
with IIS. I am now getting intermittant problems.
Somtimes I get an...

I have created a very simple vb.net web service. It works fine on my local
machine and every other machine I have installed it on. For the life of me I
cannot get it to work on my production machine.
Development Machine:
- MS .NET Framework 1.1 Ver. 1.1.4322
- Visual Studio 2003 (where the apps are created)
- IIS 5.1
App was installed via a Visual Studio Web Setup Project with no errors.

Ok i have a solution which contains a exe and a dll. The exe references
the dll via project references. I build the solution in release mode.
In the release folder I can see the dll and exe built. I change the
build configuration to debug to build a debug version. Note I haven't
built it yet. Just the act of changing the build configuration deletes
the dll from the release folder. In fact the same happens when I change
back to release...

Hi!
I may have made this post several weeks back, but not sure.
I have a project due Thurs. The problem is when I copy the file the the
local inetpub/wwwroot folder and try to run the aspx file from the local
directory on the browser, it won't display. All my other files work
fine. I can also open this file up in Visual Studios 2005 and do the
"start without debugging" and it works fine. Why is it not working on
the browser? All the...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
