File.copy method fails when copying TIF image to printer que

I have created an application that copies images I select to two
printer que's. The images are either AutoCAD plot files (.PLT) or
scanned images (.TIF). My method works well for the PLT files on my
two printers, however, I have problems when copying TIF images to one
of them.

I do a simply copy of the files like this:
File.Copy (sSourceFilePat h, sPlotterQuePath )

When I try to do this on my 2nd printer (which is a HP LaserJet 5000N),
I get several pages of garbage. That is, each page has one line on it
that is strange characters (including hearts, spades, clubs, smileys,
etc). However, when I copy the exact same file to my 1st printer
(which is a Xerox 8825 plotter), the image is printed correctly (so I
know the image is not corrupt).

I am suspicious of my .NET method, because if I manually copy & paste
the file using Windows explorer, it comes out correctly on both
printers.

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks!

i am on the chapter on copy construction in C++ in the code (see below), the author says if u pass the object by value as in HowMany h2 = f(h); ....then a bitwise object is created w/o calling the constructor of the class. However he says when we leave scope of function HowMany f(HowMany x) then the destructor is called. why this...

Hi Guys: I was stuck. I needed to send a report to a file. My beautiful report(s) in Access were going to require loss of formatting with RTFs, a PITA in WordMailMerge, sending it as a text file...whatever. I described my situation to the guy I'm doing work for and he did some research for me and came up with the following link. ...

I need to send printjobs to a printqueue under diffrent usernames. The printsoftware on the queue is not very 'secure' so I can create a user on 1 system and send a printjob under it's name to the printqueue. This is why I created a program that picks the username out for the .PRN file, creates a local user, copies the PRN file the network...

On an academic note, I want to copy a Graphic to an Image (Bitmap). I have the Graphic object but not the origin image from which it originates; this is because I'm overriding the PrintDocument class OnPagePrint method which only provides me an e.Graphic (see code sample below). The FCL doesn't seem to natively support Graphic...

Hi All, I have some Windows BMP, 1BPP, monochrome files that I need to get the raw data from to load a graphics buffer on a Roll Printer (which I know can be done). Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
