Hello,
I need a way to get a notification whenever a variable of an object
changes. The approach should be non-intrusive so that I can use
existing objects without modifying them.
I want to be notified no matter who or what did change the wrapped
object - even whenever an object internal methods changes the
variables.
So I coded the piece of code shown below (just copy and paste it, it's
ready-to-run).

Hi,
I am learning to code a WinForm application which will need to access a Web
Service outside the University network. Our University require us to go
through a proxy in order to access the Internet. In addition, the proxy
require us to authenticated before allow us to go through it.
I have coded something like below (without changing anything other things):
WebProxy proxyObject = new WebProxy("proxy.myUni.edu.au", 8080); //

I have a web service which returns many types (classes) to match the return
type. I want to cast the return type to the actual class type.
For example:

Hi all,
I'm quite lost with how adding web references to a project creates proxy
classes.
I've developed a web service with two classes inside and that contains three
references to three DLLs. After building it up, I've deployed it on the web
server.
From my Windows application, I then add a web reference to that web service.

Hi,
I have a set of simple webservices calls that worked fine using .NET
Framework 1.0.
I am calling a Java/Apache based webservices, the calling side is not able
to supply a proper WSDL.
What it does is to call a webservice with two parameters, one being a
integer, the other one being a "String" which contains XML (not the best
practice, however that is the target interface and we cannot change that).

I'd like to repost a message that I found in this group almost one year
ago, because it's the exact problem I'm in and there was no solution
offered to this post last year. (note: I was not the original author
of the below post)
I have similar issue sharing types between the web services, and also
the
client consuming those web services. I have all my custom types defined
in a
seperate assembly and I am using those types as parameter/...

Web Services - sharing data between client and server
Dealing a lot with web services a friend of mine (Ehsan Samani) and I ran
into another issue: when we move data from web services to the smart client
and back the classes created by the proxy are not identical with the ones on
the web services side. If the types we create are really complex then the
code associated is complex too. Sharing the code between...

I have a .NET class library called NorthwindLib and a class called Customer.
I have a web server that exposes a web method GetCustomer() and returns a
NorthwindLib.Customer object.
I want to consume this web service in another .NET application that
references NorthwindLib. When the web reference is created I want the
GetCustomer method to return an instance of NorthwindLib.Customer NOT a
generated ServiceProxy.Customer.
What is the...

Hi all, I have a real bugger of a problem that I just haven't been able to figure
out. I am working on writing my own proxy server in C# using TcpListener,
TcpClient, HttpWebRequest/Response and NetworkStream. I have everything
working pretty well except images won't load to their location.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
