Hi,
I have a client (C# MS Excel Project) calling a Web Service to retrieve and
update data. One of the business requirement is the client's NT Login ID, IP
Address and computer name must be log for each web service method call.
To get client information using integrated Windows authentication with
ASP.NET client. You need to disable "Anonymous Access" and enable
"Integrated Windows authentication" . IE will automatically pass in the
authetication information to IIS.
Since I am not using IE to call the Web Service, IIS could not retrieve
authentication information. How can I fix that limitation?
Thanks,
John Yung jo*******@sac.c om 1 2472
Hi John,
You have two alternatives to solve that problem.
1. Set the proxy credentials to use Windows Authentication.
proxy.Credentia ls = System.Net.Cred entialCache.Def aultCredentials ; // The
current user credentials will be used
2. Configure the Web service to use WSE.
In this case, an UsernameToken should be used to authenticate the user (You
need to enable "Anonymous Access").
Regards,
Pablo Cibraro www.lagash.com
In that case, maybe the better option is to disable Windows

I've got an STL class (see below) with two functions to store and
retrieve data - msg structs.
The "Store" function when called will copy the received message
(depending on which message) into the appropriate array. For instance
if I receive a RCVD_MSG1, I'll copy into msg1 . Upon receipt of
the next RCVD_MSG1. I'll copy into msg1 .
The Retrieve function when called should retrieve the latest copy.
ie. msg1 or msg1 .

First, please excuse the fact that I'm a complete MySQL newbie.
My site used forum software that I wrote myself (in Perl) which, up until
now, has used flat files. This worked fine, however lately I've been wanting
to do more stuff with user accounts, and had been eying MySQL for over a
year.
Finally I've decided to start off small by converting the forum's account
system to a MySQL database (and convert the rest later after I'm...

In order to protect software from being copied without licence, I would like
to use something like a key, which fits only to the current system. The
serial number of the CPU or the current operating system would be
appropriate. However, I do not know how to retrieve the information.
Could you help?

I know I can use
AxSHDocVw.AxWebBrowser browser.Navigate(...);
catch the
browser_DocumentComplete()
and retrieve using the page using
htm = (mshtml.HTMLDocument)browser.Document;
I am looking for a non-GUI way to just retrieve the web page.
I know that there is, I just can't seem to find/remember what it is.

Recently there was a discussion in this group about
how to retrieve the file name given a FILE *.
The question raised my curiosity, and after some
research I have come up with a good implementation.
The solution is in the tutorial for lcc-win32
(http://www.cs.virginia.edu/~lcc-win32) page

I have a free web mail address and would like to use python to retrieve
files that have been emailed to me. The basic code would accommodate
cookies, a login name and password, then download using the full URL I
can provide. From postings here I thought mechanize held promise, but
I've found it to contain filenames that are invalid for MSDOS (too many
characters, and/or too many dots in the name, etc.) so I have little hope
that the...

Running as an administrator, I can retrieve the account password
stored by IIS for any application pool (using the WAMUserPass
property). But, unsurprisingly, an ASP.NET application running inside
an application pool that is does not have administrator privileges
can't even enumerate the list of application pools.
I can access the application pool by hard-coding the name, but even
then the WAMUserPass is an empty property value...

You're declaring an array of pointers to unsigned long long, but
you're initializing the pointers with integer values. This is
actually a constraint violation, and your compiler should have warned
you about it. Your problem is either that you're invoking your
compiler in some non-standard mode that inhibits the warnings, or
getting warnings and not bothering to tell us about them.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
