Title: What are the Consequences of Aspx page separate from app DLL
Hi JL;
I am working on a big asp.net application.
When we migrate the dll (or dlls) to the production server, all users
who are login into the application are pumped off. In fact we must
close down the server (to preserve users from being logged on and
thinking they are updating data when it is in fact lost when we move
the dlls to the the applications bin directory)....

I've got a small VC++ program I'm working on that uses 5 property pages. On
my development machine everything works fine. On a laptop that I sometimes
use for development, clicking on 2 of the tabs (property pages) will cause
an assertion failure in COccManager::CreateDlgControls(...). The other 3
tabs are fine.
The assert that fails is ASSERT(ppOleDlgItems != NULL)
Both machines are loaded with Vis Studio 2003. Compiling on the...

My WEB is served from Win2K with sp 4 as well as a 2003 server. All patches
and upgrades are in place on both machines.
The issue is that my WEB delivers properly, accessing SQL, delivering all
information except for five pages and then the browser times out and I get
an error message that the
"aspnet_wp.exe stopped unexpectedly"
Does any of you have an idea what is happening. I've checked my code,
connections, impersonations and still...

I have several ASPX pages (with code-behind logic) that I reuse amongst many
Web sites on the same production server. Currently each Web site has its own
copy of these aspx pages. I was thinking that it might be a good idea to
move these common aspx pages to a new folder and then make them accessible
via a new virtual directory in each Web site. Is this a good idea? Bad idea?
Thoughts, opinions?
Thanks!

Hi Folks
I have created a web-site which has ASPX pages and HTM pages. When I
load the HTM page the site gets loaded, but fails to load ASPX page
with error as follows
The page cannot be found
The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name
changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

I posted this back in November 2005 a couple times but did not get any
responses. I'm hoping someone here can please shed some light on this.
I'm new to index server and can't get any DocTitle value back from index
server (it is returned as null) for all my aspx pages. It do get the values
from inside the <title> tags from my static .htm pages just fine.
My aspx pages however are generated from master pages where the title tag is
set...

Okay, this is driving me nuts now. I spent all last night researching newsgroup postings, web articles, etc.
Running multiple sites off the same shared hosting service, I want to be able to redirect a non-existing siteinfo.xml and sitemap.xml to appropriate ASPX pages that will return valid XML for the domain accessed.
I don't understand httpModules and httpHandlers very well but they don't seem to be what I need. There was discussion...

Here is my situation:
I have an aspx file stored in a resource file. All of the C# code is
written inline via <script runat="server"tags. Let's call this page
B. I also have page A that contains some javascript code that calls
window.open. I pass the resource url of page B to Page A's window.open
call. Page B is then loaded and executed but none of the server-side
code is rendered. If I view the source of the page, the code (and page...

I have an application developed using IIS 5, and the 2.14 version of the .net
framework and SQL 2005. When deployed to two different servers, the pages all
display properly when using the address
http://localhost/mywebapp/default.aspx. If I replace localhost with a DNS
name, the pages will not display... I get a "Internet Explorer Cannot display
this page" message. In reviewing the IIS log files, all of the response codes
are 302...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
