I've been doing a lot of reading on this and my head is starting to
hurt! It seems to be quite a feat to work out how much memory is
actually being used by our server.
I'm running W2K advanced server with SQL 2000 EE, 8GB of RAM, a min of
4GB and a max of 6GB is assigned to SQL server.
I'm trying to work out whether we've assigned enough or too
much/little memory to SQL server. My first thought was to let SQL

I'm new to WebServices, and I'm doing some tests (with a small
VB.NET-application) to know the performance-difference between a WebService
and the 'normal'-way of getting data (just connecting directly with a
SqlDataAdapter to the SQL Server). The WebMethod simply gives a DataSet
back, and does exactly the same actions as the normal-Method does.
The difference are enormous in my opinion:

Should I be concerned with the amount of memory my C# applications use?
I have 2 gigs of ram, and I use most of that without running any C#
applications. So, when I see C# applications in development, which are
using much more memory than their Delphi and Python equivalents, I am a
bit worried.
Is there more than meets the eye or is it simply deemed acceptable for
the platform?

when i'm writing in the code page my cpu goes wild ( 100 % ) only writing
when i press save my CPU goes Wild ( 100% ) for a couple time
when i move a few controls in the designer it goes wild !!! and mouse
