Is it possible using Image or Bitmap to build and save an animated GIF file?
I am not have a problem saving the GIF file just getting the frames added to
it.
I did find ImageAnimator but it only seems to deal with showing the GIF and
not saving it.
Thanks,
John

Hi, all
Happy valentine
I am struggling to insert an animated-gif into a CRichEditCtrl. Before I post this question here, I did some googling. And I found an article to introduce how to insert a bitmap into a RichEdit
http://www.codeguru.com/richedit/richeditrc.htm
I can use a timer/thread to replace my bitmap to show the animation. However, the screen goes blink when there are many animated-gif on it. I guess because when I repace a...

Can anyone recommend any good controls to implement animated buttons. I want
something that can perform the following:
- Must initially display a static image
- When clicked the button must seamlessly display an animated GIF while
waiting for the postback to return
The idea is to provide some indication to the user that a process is running
between page postbacks. For example, at our sites checkout page, we have to
exchange data with...

Hi!
I am creating a composite control the does some of it`s own data access.
I want to display a progress bar between the time the page is loaded and the
control place holder is displayed and final display of the data from the
database.
I was thinking of manually opening a second thread in the Render method, but
nothing is displayed before the render method exits anyway.
Anyone know of a good way to do this?
I have been working on this...

My question is how i could achieved that? Any one could give me a clue
or hint or even sample code?
Thank you?

I thought it would be nice to display some animated GIFs on some of my
forms. I put a PictureBox control on a form, and loaded my GIF file in. It
animates, but not properly. It seems very jerky and dwells on some frames
longer than it should. Searching for this problem, I have found several
people who have stated that animated GIFs don't work in a PictureBox at all,
and you have to use the ImageAnimator. I assume they must be referring to...

Hi
I have a winforms application developed in c# v1.1.
The application has a form that calls a webservice method. The call is
performed from inside the GUI thread and may take up to a minute.
Meanwhile, I want to provide to the user some sort of visual indicator
indicating that the application is not frozen.
The call to the WS should remain on the GUI thread, as I don't want
the user to manipulate other visual controls while the call is...

Hey,
I have a PHP script that I made for an image based shoutbox with emoticons. The problem is that php GD doesn't support animated gifs, yet perl GD does. How would I make it so that I could copy the animated gifs via Perl onto the static image that I made with php? I've tried with php imagecreatefromgif(), which produces a static image. I also tried using the GIFAnimation class from phpclasses to make an animated gif but it returns it as...

Hello there,
I have got a problem and several approaches but none is really staisfying:
Lets assume we have a form. On its surface we have got several animations (like a blinking light).
This form is not owner drawn. Everything is drawn by child controls.
Now we want to go ahead and create an animation that is on top of everything of that form. Lets assume this animation was an arrow that is moving from the top left corner to the...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
