Hello,
i've create a Web-project on an IIS6.0 (remote server running Win2003). I
can debug that but only if i log in on the server locally. And i must be the
same user as on the client machine. If i'm on the local machine user "XXX" i
have to log in on the server as user "XXX". If i log in as "administrator"
on the server i cant debug. If no user is logged in on the server, nobody on
the client can debug. This issue is'nt depend on user on...

Hi,
I'm just installed VS.Net 2003 on my win2003 server, but when I went to
create a web project I get an error saying unable to create website, some
web components are not installed when installing VS.Net 2003. This happens
when I use a non-Administrator account. But everything works fine when I
logon as a local administrator. Has anyone encountered this issue? I've
even tried putting my user account into the Power User group and...

I am having trouble with creating a document server from a database using
asp.net.
It works on the development machine (win2k, iis5.0), but fails on the
production server (win2003, iis6.0).
The production server is not failing in all circumstances, however. The
behavior has the following characteristics:
1) serving of gif and jpg files work fine on both machines
2) serving of pdf files works on:
a) the development server through http...

Hi all,
I'm a developer on the database backend and need to figure out how to get a
c++ .net executable to run on a win2003 server. The executable transfers
data between oracla and sql server for datawarehousing. I dont know much

server and migrated to that one OK. On the win2003 the error in the log file
is this :

I've run into a rather strange situation, and can't seem to find any details
on why this would even be happening, so here goes:
I've created an app to force users to update their pcAnywhere passwords.
This is a VB.Net project compiled against .Net 1.1. This executable is
placed on a terminal server in \Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop and
up until recently worked just fine, with about 10 people utilizing it on a
recurring basis....

Please share with me any ideas you may have for troubleshooting and resolving
the subject problem. I can give more details as necessary. (Please advise
if I should post this problem to a more specific group.)
Here's the situation in a nutshell. We're using WinXP Pro workstations
configured to a common standard on a nation-wide intra-network and we
recently migrated one operation involving networking with a WinNT server
(with...

I'm having a major problem with an ASP application. Our ASP code has been migrated from NT4 (IIS4.0) to a Win2003 (IIS6.0) server. However, there seems to be a problem with the VB scripts. Whenever a VB function is called I get a Runtime Error "Object Expected".
These are client-side scripts so I cant see how having a different server is making such an impact. Does anyone know what processes are going on in IIS 6.0 or Win2003 which is...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
