Debug issue

Hello,
i've create a Web-project on an IIS6.0 (remote server running Win2003). I
can debug that but only if i log in on the server locally. And i must be the
same user as on the client machine. If i'm on the local machine user "XXX" i
have to log in on the server as user "XXX". If i log in as "administra tor"
on the server i cant debug. If no user is logged in on the server, nobody on
the client can debug. This issue is'nt depend on user on the client machine.
NOBODY on the client (same on administrator) can debug a project unless the
same user is logged on locally on the server. Can you help me please, i'm
gonna go crazy on that....

Greetings Ralf

I thought it was a known issue that only Administrators could debug a .NET application. It might be an old issue, though. >-----Original Message----- >Hi, > >I am having a problem that normal non-administrative users >do not have permission to debug.

Does anyone know of some good resources to use when troubleshooting why one cannot debug ASP.NET apps? I am using Win2K pro SP4 (IIS 5) on a brand new machine and I cannot debug even the most simple ASP.NET app on my localhost. I have read through all kinds of MS KB articles on this issue and checked out a document on gotdotnet.com titled "howtosolvedebuggerproblems.doc" to no avail. My exact error message when I try to debug is: "Error...

I'm starting up the development server myself and using the "Startup Url" property of the web project. The problem is i cannot debug. The debug symbols are never loaded. I realize they are under the temporary internet files folder but I have even tried using the new depoloyment addin-in but that does not seem to work either. There is a /bin folder with the debug symboles in there but it still does not load them up How can i include the...

I have an odd problem. I'm beating myself bloody trying to get debugging to work. I have VS.Net 2005 installed on a Windows XP SP2 workstation and on a W2003 Server. The asp.net application is working. I need to debug. I get the error: "Unable to start debugging on the web server. The debugger cannot connect to the remote computer" ...and something about it not existing or firewall problems. I'll note here that I can manually...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
