Does Authentication Time-Out on IIS?

This is a very strange error I've been dealing with. I think these items
might be related.

I am able to debug code on IIS using VS.NET 2003. I can step through code,
set breakpoints, and do everything I want.

However, every 15-20 minutes or so, when I try to debug code I get the
"Error while trying to run project: Unable to start debugging on the web
server. You do not have permissions to debug the webserver. Verify that you
are a member of the "Debugger Users" group on the server.

Closing VS.NET and reopening the project fixes that problem. It's a pain,
but I can live with it.

But, my users also get a similar error periodically. They can use the
application for a while. But, every so often an NT login prompt will come
up. They click cancel and the application dies.
This is making me wonder if there is some type of configuration in IIS where
authenticated users are timing out. It's very bizarre.

Dear fellow ASP.NET programmer, I stared using forms authentication and temporarily used a <credentials> tag in web.config. After I got it working I realized this wasn't really practical. When creating a new user,...

I am programming what is to be a web service client that will use an HTTP-POST to request and retrieve data. The server requires the header to be present with...

There is a wield issue in inspecting the network traffic on the web service client side. There are two soap calls if credentials are used. If I do not pass in credentials...

We are in the process of designing our first ASP.NET 2.0 application and have discovered that Forms Authentication works completely differently in ASP.NET 2.0. Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows.
