Debug an ASP program

Hello,

Can I debug an asp file with Microsoft Dotnet Development environment
(dotnet architecture) (or check whether the syntax is correct) ?
If so, than how can I do that - need sample, please.

Thanks :)

Eitan,

An ASP program or an ASPNET scripting program or an ASPNET with code behind?

The not crossposted (for me is the last no problem) newsgroup

microsoft.publi c.dotnet.framew ork.aspnet

Is probably the best for answers on this questions by the way.

For future reference (your name looks familiar, didn't we tell you this
already?), questions about the .NET line of products is considered
off-topic in the microsoft.publi c.vb.general.di scussion newsgroup. You
have a relatively large selection of newsgroups with "dotnet" in their
names with many, many highly able volunteers who can answer your .NET
questions... these are the groups you should confine your .NET questions
to.

Hi all, I use VC and gcc/gdb to compile and debug C/C++ files. But I found some of the debug version of the compiled files are too large to be run in a small RAM. Can I compile C/C++ Debug partially? Something like: fileA.c fileB.c And I can compile fileA.c with debug info and compile fileB.c without debug info?

Hi I'm about to upload my site and I have switched to release version. Is that enough or do I still need to disable <compilation defaultLanguage="vb" debug="true" /> the debug="true" in the .pdb file? Is the .pdb necessary for the release version? Thanks a bunch. Dara

Whats is the deal with Debug.WriteLine command... I mean, in my programs, i usually add many of those commands to debug it while programming, and to be able to find bugs and things easier, but, it is safe to leave those lines when u compile the program? or you are suposed to remove them? Maybe the compiler delete that lines automatically when u compile the program, but that wont make much sense since inside VS.net the program you launch is...

I am using a C# assembly in Delphi.Win32 using the com interop services. This works fine, but I am looking for a way to debug the C# assembly. When using a Delphi program as a host for the assembly, the program quits at the point where it uses the assembly. If I start the Delphi program itself, all works fine, but I can't debug the C# code. Is there a way to have the Delphi debugger step into the C# assembly when it's loaded? Or is there...

I'm trying to upgrade a large project from VS 6.0 to VS 2005. After fixing a lot of things that changed (mostly sloppy coding in the original project that VS2005 didn't allow), I got the release version to build successfully. Unfortunately, it crashes right away when I start it. So now I need to build the debug version. Unfortunately, the compiler gives innumerable error messages of the sort shown below. The #include file referenced...

I am having trouble getting debug and release builds to work properly with project references using C++ .NET and Visual Studio 2003. I created a test solution, with a basic Windows form C++ project. I then add a class library, and add a reference to this project in the first project. When I do a release build, I see the following in the output from the DLL compile: /OUT:"C:\Documents and Settings\Andrew\My Documents\Visual Studio

I'm new to working with mixed assemblies. All of my previous experience has been with VC++/MFC in native, unmanaged applications. When I create a mixed assembly in which one or more of the files compiles with /clr the instructions say that I need to change the switch for Debug information format from Program Database for Edit & Continue to disabled. At runtime I find that I am not able to set breakpoints in the managed code, nor trace...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
