How to execute a cgi web link from a windows forms app?

CKa
Hello.

I made a helper program for my dad a while ago. The application downloads a
file from a webpage and then unzips it using the winzip command line tools.
The problem now is that the site has implemented an anti-leach cgi script. I
can no longer see the filepath to the file that I'm about to download. I
have to click on the link in Internet explorer in order to get the file
downloaded (save as does not work).

I have used the System.Net.WebC lient class to download the file. This works
like the save as option in internet explorer though and now saves me an html
text that says "anti-leach... and so on" instead of the file.

I would now like to know if anyone knows how I can get my application to
execute the cgi download script instead of saving its html call code to a
file. I would think that there should be a way because internet explorer is
just a program as any too and a mouseclick there allows me to download the
file.

Anyway - the program is written in c# but vb.net sample code or any
references to some other help would be just fine. And if you're wondering
why my dad just can't go to the website with a browser and download and
unzip the file then I'll just have to say that I have tried to teach him
this many times and it is just too diffucult for him.

Well, thanks in advance for any suggestions and help.

CKa.

I have yet to understand or get a response on the issue I'm having. I'm taking an asp web application and migrating it from Windows 2K to 2003. I have the new website location (2003) settings correct, i.e. enable parent paths, etc. and still get these errors: Server object error 'ASP 0228 : 80004005' Server.Execute Error /ASP_Procedures/PageHeader.asp, line 60 The call to Server.Execute failed while loading the page.

But, I want is that I can have a Main app that will start a new process or kill one particular or all process. The process will open a console exe. But, I don't want the user to close the console windows by themselves, and force them to use the Main app. If I use Windows Services, I'm not sure can I create one dynamically, and then kill easily. But, if using console application, my following coding is working now. using System;

(I'm new to VS, so please forgive me if this is a faq.) I'm writing some Java web services and need to test them with C++ clients. I can use either a Windows Form application or an MFC application. I used VS.NET 2003 to create a C# client that successfully processes SOAP messages to and from the Java service. However, I'm having problems with the C++ client. I created a new solution and a new project with File > New > Visual C++ Projects...

I posted this in the C# language group, then thought it might be more appropriate in this group. I would not cross-post except I want the answer so badly. I built small C# Web and Web Service applications in a training class last week. The applications worked in the class, but when I tried to run them again over the weekend, they both bombed. Instead of getting my Web page, or the Web Service page, I get a page full of error text...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
