Namespace alias using inline code?

Hi,

Simple one. The C# code behind for a .aspx page can have a 'namespace
alias', as here:

using AdsBusiness = Wrox.WebModules .AdsManager.Bus iness;

Question: can you do this with inline code too, and if so, what's the
syntax?

Thanks,

JON

I ran into a problem on HP-UX 11.00 the other day, where it refused to compile a program using 'using namespace std;' at the top. The reason seem to be that the compiler refuses to accept 'using namespace std;' unless the std namespace was declared first. This triggered my curiosity, and I tried to find out what the ANSI C++ standard had to say about this. I'm unable to find a conclusion, and hope someone here have a clue to spare. ...

The primary problem I've had with php is the lack of namespaces, which makes OOP very difficult to organize, since you end up with large number of classes cluttering up the same namespace - which leads to a secondary problem involving php's __autoload feature. Since you cannot specify a namespace when calling a class that may not have been included, you are forced to store all of your classes in the same folder in your file system. This...

I'm trying to "isolate" some unmanaged calls to DLLs in a separate namespace so I can have all the unmanaged calls to DLL functions in a separate module and then these can be called from any other module using the "Imports" statement. But I can't get it to work, at least not in the manner that I'd prefer. You can call the functions using the fully-qualified name, e.g. "MySpecial.UnmanagedCode.MyFunction". But I want to be able to work in...

Hi, I'm a novice whose just about migrating to C++ after cutting my teeth on C for a few years. To start with I'm using Microsoft's out-of-the-box Visual C++ Express Edition compiler and I had a couple of questions: 1. If I am using namespace std, is there a specific reason for me to place std:: before all the manipulators - cout, endl, etc? I've noticed

I was thinking of how I was going to create a robust versioning system in Standard C++ for my library and was wondering exactly what the point of a namespace alias is? The seem like a rather limited approach. For instance, you simply cannot "add-on" to a aliased namespace... Here is a quick example of what I am talking about: __________________________ #include <stdio.h>

Hello everybody, I have a pretty straightforward question regarding namespace. Is there anyone who knows why the following code does not compile on the line Type t = typeof(Name6.Name7.Name6.Class6) ? I am using Visual Studio 2006 by the way (.Net 2.0) As far as I know "Name6.Name7.Name6" is a valid namespace but, somehow, some operations on that namespace will not compile. From the example, we can

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
