I have Visual Basic .NET 2003, and wanted to create a form that only shows
the contents of a label.
The form can't have a title bar or border. It seriously needs to just be
the text inside the label.
Can this be done?

How on earth does one set the background property of a label to
transparant, a la VB6?
I have a label which overlays a picturebox, and I don't want the
horrible grey background - I just want the text over the picturebox.
The text dynamically moves around too.
Effectivly, its a "You are Here" sort of thing, so I'm putting a red
"X" in a label and moving it around.

Hello,
I hope that someone can help me. I am developing code with C# .NET to
display units which are on a Serial (RS232) Network.
For my display I have to use a bitmap of the item and on top of the bitmap I
have to display the device number. I thought about putting the device number
in a label over the bitmap but the label does not blend in with the bitmap.
Is there a way to make the label transparent so that the bitmap will show...

I'm having a problem with an inherited label, applying text rotation to
aligned text.
If text rotation is applied to the aligned text, the alignment goes 'nuts'.
I can find no logic to what is happening.
I've built the following code from several examples on the web, if you
remove the rotation then alignment works fine:
Imports System.ComponentModel

Hi everybody,
I have an odd issue which I'm not sure how to resolve. I'm basically implementing a print mechanism which takes a series of controls and reproduces them on a print document.
So what I'm trying to do is print out a label so what I basically did is use Graphics.DrawString passing in the text of the label, the font of the label and the rectangle which represents the label (because it's set to autosize this should be the right...

Hi All,
I am fairly new to Python programming. I am working on a small
Tkinter project and I think I am missing something, maybe you can
help. The two lines below is all I have related to the Label widget:
lblServer = Tkinter.Label(serverFrame, text='Server:', fg='black',
justify='left', relief='groove')
lblServer.place_configure(width=200, bordermode='inside')

Hi all
I have a MDI Container Form, with one label control
on the Background of this container form.
When I now open a child form, this form is behind
the label ... and this looks ugly ... :-))
When I set the label with "SendToBack", it completely disapears.
I also tried to set the child form like "BringToFront" but this also does
not help.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
