How to disable "pasting" into a numericupdown control in VB.NET

Hello,

Facing a problem where I use a numericupdown control in vb.net for recieving
an input. But user can copy a "text" using mouse and paste into the
numericupdown control. This will lead to error while processing inside the
application. I have to present the numeric control to the user so as to enter
any value he likes "except any text or invalid characters" ( allow numeric
values only)

Please help. Thanks in advance.

Hello, I've posted this problem to one other newsgroups, and gotten some diagnostic help, but I still need a solution. The full text of the message box is: "The field is too small to accept the amount of data you attempted to add. Try inserting or pasting less data". This displays without a run-time error number. This error comes about when a user (I've been able to reproduce this error on 2 different workstations; one running...

Dear Access developers, I have a lot of cut and pasting to do from Excel to an Access form. But instead of just pasting, I want to "add then paste" the value. Does anybody have a way to do this? Existing code would be appreciated! In other words, I'd like to right click on a form text box and add the value stored in the clipboard to the existing value which is in the text box.

We have a project with many other projects referenced (all of which are referenced at the project level and are included in the solution). Frequenly, if we make a change in project A (such as adding a property, or even simply changing a line of code), a form in project B will then show 10 or more "object such-and-such is not defined". To fix this problem we check out the form in project B and 90% of the time that fixes it (but nothing changes...

As a Newbie I've picked up a heap of tips and tricks from this NG but I have been battling to get the current user's Netwok Login ID recorded on a form at the time a new record is created or modified. I haven't implemented Access security, and want their Network Login ID. The network is running W2K server and all users have unique login ID's. I run A2K and I've found Dev Ashish's code at http://www.mvps.org/access/api/api0008.htm . I...

I am looking for a way to "POST" image data that is copied to the clipboard on the client computer to an ASPX page using JScript on the front-end and VB.NET on the backend. Is this a feasible operation or am I on a wild goose chase here? There are a lot of examples of pasting text into an HTML form using the TextArea.createTextRange() method, but so far I'm coming up with nothing on image data. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks. ...

Recently I noticed that if you "right click" and "open link" on my site, you bypass the javascript code that fires "onclick". I have several pages that fall victim to this, and I could probably refractor the page and put checking on both javascript and cs side but before I did that I wanted to know if there were any other ideas on how to get around this problem. I started out by trying to disable the right click, but I don't want to...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
