Moved from VC6 to VS.Net .. missing F4 thru search results, and Shift+Ctrl+G to open include

Are these two features available in VS.Net 2003 at all (maybe different
keys)...

F4 to go thru find-in-files search results (just like you F4 to go thru
build errors). In VC6, if output window was set to look at find results, F4
would go thru those, and only go thru build errors if build output was
shown. In VS.Net, F4 seems to ALWAYS apply to build errors, and there does
not seem to be any easy way to go thru found results other than
double-clicking line by line in the find results window

Used to use Shift+Ctrl+G on a #include line to open the corresponding .h
file .. this no longer works in VS.Net

Any ideas?

Thanks

I've solved my problems by finding the appropriate commands and assigning
keystrokes to them. Unfortunately, the commands for going new/pre in the
build output is different to new/prev in find results .. so I allocated the
+ and - numeric keyboard keys to the latter .. guess I will get used to that
soon enough :)

J> It's implementation specific Only inasmuch as the implementation determines what "can be processed by the implementation" means. However, a source file that _does not exist_ is going to be a source file that cannot be "processed by the implementation" on practically every implementation in existence. And thus a missing source file is almost universally going to be a violation of an explicit constraint on programs, and a diagnosable...

We have an elderly DOS-based system running on a Novell Netware server here, and an extensive intranet. Quite recently the board decided that some crucial info from the DOS system was to be made available to senior management via the intranet. After some initial design problems (OK, after severely scratching our heads at the HOW? question) we were quite pleased with our solution: a background process in the DOS system gathers the data and...

Dear Friends, I have created Application using VC#. How do to the following tasks? The user should not be allowed to exit the program: the start menu, end task and all other ways of exiting the program should be disabled. The Shift+Ctrl+Q (or other keystroke combination) should be the only way to exit the program.

Hello, I am trying to develop a vb program for Excel which will search through open workbooks for a text string (let's say that string is "error" for example) in a cell. Once this program finds this string, I need it to copy that cell and adjacent cells into a different workbook (this will be used to summarize the errors). As it copies this information, it would be nice if it stepped down the page as it pasted (so all the error cells wouldn't...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
