Hi. I'm having trouble flushing sys.stdout. I've written a small example
to illustrate my problem (see below). In short, I expect it to ping
"received hello", sleep for 5 seconds and then print "received world".
Instead I get nothing for 5 seconds and then both statements pop out at
once.
As you'll no doubt gather from the example, the problem I'm really trying
to solve is sending message back from one process to another via a pipe....

My boss asked me to build a program to create a report
with logon/logoff events for all users within our windows
domain. I'm using .Net to do so and decided to have a
program running on the Domain Controler to listen to all
new events and send them to a database. This last part I
haven't worked on yet, cause I can't tell which events are

i do have a user control with 4 buttons, and all the events
are firing properly,
My problem is that i need to right an event handler in the user
control, which gets fired after a specific process is done,, but the
form which will host the user control has to specify what has to be

Is there a way to flush the events generated by user?
IE, having a user clicking like a fool, trap the first click, handle it
on some way and then at the end of the processing flush away all the
queued clicks netween the first click and the now.

I have quite a large report, which takes a couple of minutes to run. I'd
like to show line-by-line updates as they become available, but since I'm
using IE6, Response.Flush() doesnt work.
I know that I could break the table up into a series of smaller tables, but
I prefer not to do this unless I have to - are there any other alternatives
for flushing rows of a table?

Hello
I want to make two kind of windows:
1. Poping up - such window will appear in front of the other windows
(receive focus).
2. Flushing - such window will not appear in front of the others but it's
tab (in task bar) will blink - so
the user will see that something happens there.
Which functions could i use for those two purposes ?

this is from mentioned section. i did not understand some things here:
it means "flushing the buffer" and "writing to output device" are SAME
thing, these are just 2 different names for the same thing.
