How can I open an HTTP: folder and browse its contents?

I am trying to write a super simple tool to backup the documents on my
department's Sharepoint Site because, frankly, I can't rely on a
timely response if someone accidentally deletes a file from my area.

I notice that, in Windows XP at least, "My Network Places" allows me
to open a browsable folder to my document library. I am lead to
believe, then, that I should be able to programmaticall y (sp) open
this folder. The System.IO namespace doesn't "feel" like the right
place and, in fact, does not seem to work with URLS, though I now have
the code written to backup a UNC folder (small victory).

Thanks.

Again drawing on the groups experience:- 1. For general file opening and file saving, using VB6, are there any issues with using the FileOpen and FileSave Common Dialog Boxes? 2. Is using the FileOpen and FileSave Common Dialog Boxes the best way to go in general? 3. For Most of my projects I will be using the same types of data input form and report output form, as discussed here recently. Also, the files that are

I just installed ASP after a couple of years of not using it, PWS Win 98 SE. A couple of things are throwing me, and I can't remember whether these worked in the past. One is I can't double-click on an .asp file in my file explorer and have it load in IE6. IE shows the page in the address bar, e.g. C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\myweb\math.asp

I'm using code from the following web page to open the API Browse Folder dialog http://www.mvps.org/access/api/api0002.htm It all works fine. But if the dialog box is open and the user closes Access, the system just hangs and Access apparantly cannot close. I have to open the Windows Task Manager and force the closing (and even that takes quite awhile).

Hey gang, I'm new to python coding. I'm trying to find the simplest way to open a text file (on the same server) and display it's content. The text file is plain text (no markup language of any kind). The filename gets found and placed into a variable named I'm using python to find the text files, and a .ezt template to display the list of the files. But I can't figure out how to read the contents of the file, and display it...

I have an Access 2007 application running on a terminal server. One of the features of the app is a wizard that allows them to create an Excel spreadsheet by querying the Access data. When they create the Excel spreadsheet, they have to be able to browse their folders to choose the file location the spreadsheet will be saved to. My concern is that when they are browsing for folder locations, they have the ability to browse to and open...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
