Stepping thru stored procedure with Windows 2000?

Anybody got this working or know of explicit instructions on how to get
debug stepping thru a stored procedure with Visual Studio .NET and Windows
2000 OS?

I get this error message "Unable to start SQL debug session. Ensure
sqldbreg2.exe and proxy/stub DLL sqldbg.dll are registered on this machine."

Thanks,
Dean Slindee

Hello, Does anyone know of a way to loop thru a SQL table using code in a stored procedure? I need to go thru each record in a small table and build a string using values from the fields associated with a part number, and I can't find any way to process each record individually. The string needs to be initialized with the data associated with the 1st record's part number, and I need to build the string until a new part number is...

We have a suppliers application that runs a stored procedure (one of many). This stored procedure then calls various other ones etc... and the final number of stored procedures run is 11. Now, some of our users have been having problems and deciding for themselves to CTRL+ALT+DEL the application. This is the first thing we will stop. However, we have had some error messages indicating that the previous transaction is blocking them...

Hi All, We're using the 1.1. Framework against SQL Server 2000, and are having a strange issue where we don't get errors back from the stored procedure, i.e. the exception never gets thrown. The scenario is this: 1.) Set up SqlConnection and SqlCommand 2.) Set SqlDataReader equal to the return value from SqlCommand.ExecuteReader

I have a breakpoint in an aspx page that I'm using to try to trap some code to see what's going on. I'm translating a page that is working in a traditional ASP page, which takes several session variables, formats a header, and assigns a sql stored procedure to be run and a report generated in a web browser. The odd behavior occurs where I have my breakpoint, which is at the place where the variable "showblank" is set to = " ". ...

Stepping into a stored procedure used to be fairly straight-forward, but after following the guidance in all 6 or so of the MSDN pages about enabling debugging of stored procedures in SQL Server 2005 using VS .NET 2005 running on WinXP Pro (SP2) -- I'm still having no luck. Remote debugging works fine. Stepping into a procedure through the IDE (without the calling app running works fine) A quick inspection of the attached processes...

T-SQL Debugger Doesn't Allow Stepping Through Stored Procedures And there is no other procedure with the same name owned by dbo or any other users. There is no error messages also, it just completes procedure and returns result server: Microsoft SQL Server 2000 - 8.00.818 (Intel X86) Microsoft Corporation Enterprise Edition on Windows NT 5.0 (Build 2195: Service Pack 4) and I don't know how do determine Client's version.

On a SQL Server 2000 db I would like to setup a stored procedure that accesses couple tables and runs the extended stored procedure xp..cmdshell. The goal is to grant users with limited privileges the right to run the stored procedure but not the rights to directly access either the referenced tables or the extended stored procedure. TIA!

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
