I am pretty much lost here - I am trying to create a managed c++
wrapper for this dll, so that I can use it from c#/vb.net, however, it
does not conform to any standard style of coding I have seen. It is
almost like it is trying to implement it's own COM interfaces...
below is the header, and a link to the dll+code:
Zip file with header, example, and DLL:...

Hi,
When we create shared add-in in visual studio .net 2005 with VC++/ATL as a language, then it creates managed com component or unmanaged com component?
In MSDN they had said that "creating managed com component!" using shared add-in!! But when we create share add-in in VC++/ATL it looks unmanaged code! and also does not have CLR support also?
Thanks,
Shyam

Help me understand this, please.
I have an older VC++ COM DLL that I'm using in a C# project. One of
the COM objects takes a callback object as a parameter so that it can
spin off a thread and do some long running network stuff without
blocking. When I run the application the callback works as expected,
but I get an error when I try to access the COM object in the
callback.
So the call order is: C# app -VC++ COM DLL thread -C#...

Hi All,
Currently we have COM component(dll) implemented using ATL.
Because of the current business requirements, we would like to rewrite
the COM component in Managed C++ and the clients will be unmanaged C++
and C# .
I have been searching net to find some sample code and but could not
get it.

I'm building a web server and having some issues with the
TCPListener.Start(BackLog). It doesn't seem to do as expected. I'm using
MS Web Stress Tool to test against my web server and when I see 200
connections at once to it, and I'm seeing 2/3 of the sockets as socket
errors.. They never get into my code, so it has to be failing on the
connection side.. Backlog is the only thing I can think could be the
problem. ...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
