Hi,
I am trying to apply gray scaling to color as well as black/white
images.
I have tried using the pixel by pixel approach to achieve the
scaling. But the particular approach has a issue with high mega pixel
images.
Is there any other approach that can be applied to achieve the gray
scaling and also have a reasonable performance?

I have some old code that I use from the Access 95 Developers handbook. The
code works very well, with the exception that it doesn't seem to recognize
wide screens, and sizes tab controls so that they are too big and wind up
covering up some of the fields on the main form.
Is there any good code out there that works in a similar fashion that will
also either a) stretch the form width wise on widescreens or b), rely on
height rather than...

Hi,
It seems vs.net does some automatic scaling in the ide. like if i take a project develloped under 96 dpi low res and load it under 120 dpi hi res it does all kinds of automatic resizing. this is undesirable, how do you turn it off?
I have a function that scales forms on the fly (form param). but now i realize that changing the dpi messes up the scaling. i need to take the dpi into consideration but the formulas i've tried don't scale...

I inherited a vs2003 project which I've converted into vs2005 to run
under .net 2.0. The conversion was fine and the project compiles and
runs just fine until today. A user called me up asking why they cannot
see the bottom of the form anymore (it's a fixed height form).
I opened the project again and looked at the form and sure enough, it's
exactly 180 pixels less than it used to be. Thinking I messed up, I
fixed the form, recompiled...

Hi,
In VB6 and earlier if the form size was expanded by the user or maximized
there had to be specific code to handle controls on the form to scale with
with it.
In VB.net I recall in one of the MSDN videos seeing that Windows forms have
a property that auto scale controls within the form.
The problem is I don't see it and the ones I try don't work.

We have a 3 month old quad processor/dual core server running SQL
Server 2005 and already it is getting close to hitting the CPU wall.
