Hi, I want to be able to define the right property of my absolute positionned elements... for example if a button is 50px left and 150px right, it will resize when the page is resized. This is working fine in Mozilla but it isn't working in Internet Explorer :( Is this a known bug ? do you have any suggestion without using tables or OnResize event ? Best regards,

Hi there everyone, I have a fairly open ended but simple question that I could really use some assistance with. When I first bought visual studio (under the student license) i thought it was great. Especially the design tool for ASP.net. It was like making websites as easily as VB or C# - Drag and drop - a total life saver. But, now that I want to make some more complicated pages I'm finding it really hard to work in VS. The other...

In VB6 my practice was to set control properties at Run Time rather than Design Time. I found setting property values in the code provided better documentation, since much of this was hidden - and if there were problems with a control dll setting values were preserved and not "lost" to the domain of searching code using a DOS editor. However, as I start work in VB.Net I'm questioning if I should continue my practice of avoiding Design...

I have a custom collection in my c# winform ui control called Items. Items is a built in collection type that does not allow itself to be replace (you can't 'set' the itemscollection in the control). However, the contents of the Items collection is persisted through designtime. Currently this all works except for the following. When you bring up the custom collection editor and add new items then close the collection editor.

Hello groovers, I have a component which i'm trying to add some design time support to. I wish to add design time support so that a readonly collection of ToolStripItems can be maintained via a collection editor however i only wish to expose the following interface to the design time editor. Also the editor that maintains the readonly collection can only add ToolStripItems that already exist on the parent form that contains the component...

Hi All, does anyone know how to add TabPages of ones own classes at design time ? ideally when adding a new TabControl it would contain tab pages of my own classes, I know you can achieve this with ListView columns so it should be doable, thanks

I am presently using FrontPage. I need to change to a different program because FrontPage is now obsolete. In addition, FrontPage creates awful code. Are there programs out there (Dreamweaver or Expressions) that do a good job at web design, including producing compliant code? www.richardfisher.com

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
